This phone is amazing. Snapdragon 810 is a strong performer in this device, and it stays cool and quick. Battery is strong, multiple background apps, torrents etc all running and I still have over 1 day battery life.
The detail in the 23mp photos is incredible - even after uploading to facebook to images are razor sharp.

What a garbage phone! After reading the reviews and looking at the specs, I had such high hopes for this phone, but it is the WORST phone I've ever purchased. Quality is abysmal. I've had it for one month and the screen has separated from the body of the phone! It still works, but the camera and top speaker no longer work. The back glass is EXTREMELY fragile and cracked while the phone was in my pocket (but I imagine the separated screen makes the phone more fragile).
The phone has been laggy and slow since the first week, often freezing up completely whenever it connects to bluetooth. The back of the phone gets incredibly hot. I've owned androids for years and work in IT, so I know all about managing apps, but even doing that will still result in laggy performance. The battery life is not very good, likely due to the heat management issue.
But there are some upsides: The phone is the perfect size for my hand (and I'm a big guy). The camera was great when it worked. It's waterproof and the fingerprint scanner on the side is a great touch. If this phone was built with the quality of a Samsung or Motorola, it would be one of the greatest phones on the market. Sadly, Sony's execution does not match up with their ambition.

I've just received my Z5 compact and love it! Best phone. Does anyone know how to stop notifications bleeping in the middle of the night i.e. FB? I've already set the do not disturb thing on. Sorry to ask such a silly question and appreciate anyone that can help.

I bought a sony compact, it has zero quality and it is garbage. the screen of My phone after 1 monthes made a gap between frame and screen. Recently it droped from 60cm height and the lens of its primary camera stopped working. The repair-man said to me, you should change it.
Please don't purchase sony.

My friend have the Z3 compact it is very good phone, but Z5 is the latest something might be different, example the Z5 compact have fingerprint reader, 0.03 seconds hybrid auto focus, 23mp at main camera and 5mp front camera and wider camera lens and capless usb-port. You better try it yourself.

I love the look of this phone and want to go for it as it's waterproof however, there appears to be so many negative feedbacks from people regarding this handset! How many of you here posting your comments are genuine purchasers or are you here just trolling! It's so sad as genuine people like me would like to buy and your obviously putting people like me off. By the way if you are trolling here please don't waste my time even responding to my message!

Hi, Just some info and idea i would like to get about this phone. Firstly i am using a Sony Xperia L from the past 2 years almost and the experience has been an ok ok one. I am looking for a cellphone within 5 inches of screen size with good quality camera and music and also a phone that will not hang or lag and is smooth while playing games such as subway surfer and temple run etc. I was thinking of buying an Apple i phone as many of my friends say that Apple phones don't hang or lag however the 64GB Apple iphone 6s is out of my budget as i can afford around 2100 - 2200 SAR. So i want to know some honest feedback about this phone from those who have used it for at least a month or so and i also want to say that i will be taking my cellphone to India so is it ok to do so as i heard that SONY did not launched this phone in India.
