ANY PHONE FROM 5.5" UPTO 6.99" IS TERMED A PHABLET, ANY DEVICE ABOVE 6.99" IS TERMED A TABLET. Very clear and simple, hope you can understand plain english. In your words a device can be both a phablet or tablet, that's utter nonesense. The Z5 Premium can just about be labelled a phablet as it's only 5.5". Personally they've made a big mistake and they will lose sales. With a 4K display should have been a minimum 6" and this would sell really well, it won't now though.

I agree pixels are more in sony but samsung has sharp ,bright and vivid display resolution,and samsung has a best camera !!I am waiting for waiting for s7 with 4k display!

it is enough 3 gb ram believe me.
i have the xperia z1 for 8 months and still it is perfect
much faster then s5 and one m8

This would have been the Ultimate Hyper phone to date if they had just put in the SnapDragon 820, USB-C with USB 3.1, 4GB DDR4 RAM, Android 6.0 Marshmellow, DTS's Headphone:X & a Removable battery or 4500mAh battery. They could achieve this. These brand name smartphone makers need to put the best components in their phones, especially if, 1. They aren't making a significant style change or 2. They want to have the best components out their & people will pay, its like being the Koenigsegg One:1 or Pagani Huayra or Lykan Hypersport or even the Lada Raven of Smartphones. I just think these guys are just cheap & don't wanna give us the best. That is why I won't buy an iPhone because they keep stringing us along & won't put the best components at the time in their phones & Apple can afford to do it, they just make us believe the the best isn't necessary, well, in my book, when it comes to technology, I think the best is necessary because most of the time it makes our lives easier & more convenient & efficient & I think Apple half asses their hardware & thats why they have Ginormous profits.

sony will beat all with just 3 gb ram
and the android version is perfect
5 mp.kamera it is also perfect instead of 8mp poor camera of samsung...

Sony need to make a mini version using 4k display. I want a 4.3inch screen. It will increase the ppi level up to 1025ppi. That would be super awesome for viewing pleasure. We certainly don't need it but for VR sake I would.

Why didn't sony made it a 4gb ram. Ips and lcd displays are well known for accuracy and power efficiency but many manufacturers over saturate the screen. I prefer AMOLED screens. But this phone has the best screen in todays market. My only worries are the cpu ,ram, and battery of this phone

'premium' because it was made for Bond.. MAYBE next year there will be no more premium model, and they won't continue using 4K display.

Remember always:
1-first smartphone with water and dust proof/resistant
2-first smartphone got a 2 glass on front and back
3-first smartwatch got a nfc....
4-first smartphone got a nfc
5-first smartphone got a flash on front
6-first smartphone capture a video 4k
7- and first smartphone with a 4k screen wow..
8-first camera got a optical zoom...... That's a huge jump from all the phone
And overheating has been fixed :)

After so many years sony has finally created a phone that I actually want to buy . Absolutely brilliant. At almost 150 grams its on the heavier side . But nothing is perfect in this world.

2) Its clearly visible that z5 premium has the same pony flashlight i am not expecting a xenon flash light but i think i can atleast expect the powerful duel tone flash which i was expecting from a long time.
3) The bezels are seriously too thick i can still forgive that as it has a very premium design.but still sony cud have done a better job with that as its been too long since the xperia Z.
4) Sd810 is a flagship grade SOC i.e sony had no other option at the moment however as theis phone is water and dust.. tight it will overheat more while running a resource hungry app or using the phone for a long time even if its underclocked. So that worries me
