firstknight_78, 24 May 2014yesterday i used my sony ultra z underwater for about 30 se... morebro, the phone is water resistance not water proof , which mean it only resist up to 1 meter and 30 minutes and deeper than that or longer than that, it would break(go mad )

yesterday i used my sony ultra z underwater for about 30 seconds and this picture was good but after 2 hours the mobile goes mad and then it not work as good as it was cause of the water .my quotation is , is sony make a real water rechristens phones or its just a jock i want to know the trues and plz dont tell me connect local support team directly.they don't help us here in Egypt i think ill go everywhere and tell every body that i don't trust sony products anymore
and SONY YOU MUST GIVE ONTHER PHONE i think so

I have been using this fone for the past one month and so far my xperience is good.
Its pros are
-Good screen (Definatly u wud buy this fone for having a big screen which is bright and colorful)
-Poweful processor (Its processing prowess is commendable. It wond let u down)
-Better ram management (i am coming from samsung and i can safely tell u that it will give u twice as much room in its ram chips as much as galaxy s4 does which is crucial for better multi tasking and lag free performace)
-Water proofing (I have checked and dipped it into my aquarium tank and it is working perfectly)
CONS:
-Very Low external speaker loudness .. painfully low it is
-Camera with out flash is quite troublesome.
-Camera performance is extremely poor. imagine a 5mp camera of galaxy s advance is 100% better than its 8mp shooter. Lack of flash aside its camera quality is extremely disappointing
-Battery performance is moderate which is on a low side for such big fone
Over all i would rate this fone 7 out of 10

mrJ, 17 May 2014just wondering date you purchase it and from what retailer?I bought the c6843 version that sony made with digital TV include, free contract in Brazil. I solved the battery problem making a downgrade to android 4.3 and I think the ghost touch problem is related with this tecnology to use a pencil like a stylus, maybe when my fingers are sweaty, or a hardware problem. Only solved this appliying a film. Its a great phone for the design and image quality, but this problems make me unsatisfied.
Another thing, the touchscreen precision to draw, for example, it is a bit laggy if you compare like iphone or nokia lumias. I hope sony read this :)

Hi everyone, just bought the phone today and its great. however, after all the updates, i am having this problem where i get this message "Error: Camera Not Available". How can I resolve this?? Thanks

The screen quality is amazing but I dont recomend this phone. Battery too short (worst after android 4.4 update) and too much ghost touch problems. (Only solve this applying a film on the screen).

Shah, 14 May 2014Hi, just days before I bought my Xperia Z Ultra, and really... moretry repairing the phone software using sony pc companion, after repair remove your memory card, factory reset your phone. use a pc copy all data off of your memory card then format your memory card on your pc. power off your phone, reinsert your memory card then power back on. see if this fix your hang up problem. sometime phone software get corrupted or bad memory card can cause hang up problem.

Hi, just days before I bought my Xperia Z Ultra, and really enjoyed it. So much of a powerful hardware and soft ware, but all of a sudden while using face book it simply hung up, not responding to anything. Have to reset, again and again. Now it is even getting difficult to power it on. Please if any one with some suggestions.

Got one for six months already. It looks very good because of its slim design. Good for browsing, gaming, ang watching movies. What i dont like is its low sound and low camera resolution ang in the absence of the flash. I had one bad experience while browsing facebook, it hang up... cant switch of and no other function is working... i had to wait till the battery was dead before it was reseted... by the way, its battery life is way much better than my previous phone like iphone 4s, samsung note 2, and s5 now.

Never go for Samsung or LG..the specs may sounds incredible but the UI will totally make the phone lag n slow..its too heavy..go for htc or sony..theyre the best..

i boght sony ultra z and I'm so depressed the sound is so bad and it's very low i can't hear the mobile when it rings. The camera is not good at all. So i think you have 2 give onther one or give my money back Mr sony. 😢😢😢

-if screen is reflective to the extent that its not visible in sunlight
-if battery runs out quickly after kitkat update
