I bought my zr 2 days back.. it was working fine.. yesterday my battery got drained.. I charged it for 2 to 3 hours..but my screen remains blank always and no signs of charging also... I am very disappointed...

I bought this phone in 2013 Dec and so far everything is great except the GPS.
My phone must put under windshield in order to get perfect GPS signal, once I hold my phone in front of steering while driving the GPS signal will definitely lost!
Anybody have same experience? Is this a GPS sensor problem?

has anyone updated the latest update ???
my ph was great with 4.2.2, but with 4.3, everything execpt the battery life is fine.
now its difficult to get juice for one full day.
i hope this update fixes the battery drain issue.
anyone else facing a similar problem ???

AnonD-233120, 13 Feb 2014Mine was last updated 1week before to 4.3. Build no. is 10.... more@Ajay. I am talking about the firmware update. I think you just upgraded to 4.3 but there is a firmware update announced last week which has many improvements such as camera, battery performance etc.

Hello Guys, We have got a firmware update on top of 4.3 which was released last week for all Z series including ZR. I heard lot of guys received it but there's no update here in India. Anyone in India who has received the firmware update?

This phone is amazing. I bought it a week before. No lag or software issues. Camera is average in daylight, lowlight with flash works better than other phones. Front camera is a disappointment though its not gonna be used for 99% of the time. So it doesnt count to rating the phone.
Display is awesome, much better than previous sony phones. Bravia engine works wonders on the screen. But it consumes lot of battery, so switch it off when u have less juice in battery. Viewing angles are not that good as in all sony. but first person angle is so good. HD playback is just awesome.
Sound is bit low in the loudspeaker. but with some settings tweaks you can change them too. Internal speaker for voice call is a big blow. voice call clarity is bad when compared to other phones. Previously I was using HTC, when i changed to this phone, I noticed big difference in call quality(only on the receiver, mic is working good). I even took it to Sony center and enquired about it. Sales guy told its common in sony phones. I noticed same call quality in Z which he was using. I think Sony has to address this important thing in their updates. after all a phone is to make calls and a person has to be comfortable with making calls.
Battery is performing good for this well built heavy packed beast. I charge it to 100% in morning. With 3G data on and 30 min games and 1hr movie, 1 hr music, 2hr voice calls, it can withstand upto 40% when the day is over. Stamina mode surely helps a lot.
Overall Xperia ZR is truely a best buy for this price. You get all that you want in one phone. Other phones in this price range, always compromise one feature or the other.

Currently using Lumia 920 and waiting for WP 8.1 to come out, and if it's lame as their updates, I'll be definitely getting this one.
