AnonD-194233, 08 Oct 2013Bought an Sony Xperia ZR excited about using the underwater... moreBuddy water getting in through the back panel is normal, main thing is it should not get in contact with the battery, that's the reason Sony has provided a lining in the back panel which prevents water ingress.You can wipe off the water from back side and continue using the phone as usual.Nothing happens to speaker volume or call volume.

Even i had the Xperia Neo, nw upgraded to the Xperia ZR
M enjoyng evry moment of it
THe best phone fulfillng all the requiremnts one needs frm a smartfon
Gud battery, Big screen, Enough Internal Memory, Great Camera, Compact size and weight, Averag Front Camera, Great design, Good 3G connectivty, fast processor WITHOUT ANY LAG, support fr HD games... wat else one would need..?? Go for ZR or even Z if poss !

Bought an Sony Xperia ZR excited about using the underwater feature, on 30th September 2013. Tried a few clicks underwater till then the mobile was fantastic, just after a while when we checked the music we found that the water had dripped in from the loudspeaker slot at the back of the phone and the speakers went for a complete toss. The audibility went down by 90% hardly anything could be heard and remaining 10% volume was completely distorted. when we opened the back cover to check the issue we found water around the speakers at the bottom of the phone just below battery compartment.
Completely embarrassed in front of the crowd, left the phone for a day as we were travelling. Next day checked the phone again after the water evaporated & the phone speakers were back to normal.
Went to service centre at Andheri West, Mumbai, Mobile Technology, Service attendant Azhar,and the front desk staff didn't believe this happened. So almost after an hour they asked me to speak to the toll free no and ask them if this issue was covered under warranty. They didn't even believed that the phone is Water Proof.
After much of convincing they finally took my phone and they claim that they have emailed Sony support team for an solution to this issue.
Apparently, it seems there has been no reply from the Sony team for past two days because of which I'm without a phone completely handicapped even after paying 30,000 INR.
Feeling really disguised I'm writing here hoping that I'll get a solution for my complaint or a phone replacement.

Its a nice phone. I got it last night only. The primary camera is excellent, just like digicams but the front cam is the minus point. Its VGA. So its of no use.
Secondly the phone gets heated up quite frequently even on usage of Internet for 10mins.
The touch is too good. It also comes with a lot of apps pre installed.
Battery looks okay as of now.
Screen resolution is excellent.

Just restart and leave it .It does receive the signal strength after a while . But its really though .

AnonD-118285, 06 Oct 2013We can not change the colour of notification light.The notification light will change colour based on the colour of the screen when you view a photo album, music album, incoming text message and battery alert and charging status indicator. Red (Battery low) -> Orange -> Blue -> Green (Full charged). In Whatsapp, under Notifications you can set different colour light for new message for single contact, group and broadcast message. This feature also available in Sony Xperia U. I really love this feature.

My best advise is go for zl which is far better than sp and zr. zl has got good clarity, sound and better battery backup than the rest. It's got the same features of Z except it's not water resistant phone. zl and zr are almost same pricing now.

There is some issue with call volume.
Whenever i reboot my phone the incall volume get reduced by itself although in volume bar count it shows full but actually it had reduced.
Then to re increase the volume i first press the volume down key and volume get set to 6(increased as compared after restart) then volume up key to get back to 7. If i directly press volume up key The volume doesn't increase.
Is anyone facing the same problem, please try restart and check volume and respond..
