Tecno Camon 20 Premier in for review
We've got the new Tecno Camon 20 Premier in the office so here's an unboxing, before the review team gets going.
You get a well-stocked package with a quality matte case, a 45W charger, headphones, and a USB-C cable.
Another things that makes the Tecno Camon 20 Premier special (not the name) is the back finish. Tecno calls it a Puzzle Deconstructionist Design and it features 'Magic Skin leather', which is soft yet resistant to fingerprints and abrasion. We have the Serenity Blue model, while the Black one has a shiny finish.
The surface of the Tecno Camon 20 Premier's rear panel feels close to leather but isn't as rubbery and grippy as some of the other similar panels we've had over for review. It definitely feels premium made and nice to the touch and we'd understand if you leave the case in the box.
The frame of the Tecno contrasts nicely with the rear panel. It's a glossy, mirrored finish and it's fully flat, which allows the phone to stand on its own and feel secure in the palm. Overall we'd call the Tecno Camon 20 Premier exquisitely made and certainly far better than its pricing suggests.
On the back there is a 50MP 1/1.56" main camera with sensor-shift stabilization, laser and phase detect autofocus. Next to it is a 108MP ultrawide shooter with autofocus and closeup macro capabilities. The phone comes with a special ring flash that can stay on to help with macro shots.
It's an intriguing imaging system from a company quickly proving its ability to innovate in the camera section, and we'll thoroughly test it in our review.
To round up this quick look, the Tecno Camon 20 Premier has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, a 6nm Dimensity 8050 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, and Android 13 under HIOS 13.

Maybe the reason might be that this devices debuts the Dimensity 8050?

Check the Moto Edge 40 review. They even wondered how the Dimensity 8020 is way better than the 1100 and even was thermally better. Maybe the reason is that the 8020 is undervolted?
