We waited to the point that android 15 is in the third quarter beta. It takes so long to update to the point that its delayed in updates from google.

It seems like the lack of update only happens here in the Philippines... I don't know what's taking them so long to push updates here, it's not like they're gonna push a different version per region but really, I'm kinda disappointed.
If possible, is there any way we can atleast get the local file for the Android 14 update? Is that even possible?

Countries that belong in the minority will receive it in August. You can try removing your local sim card, use the app ipvanish on playstore, and turn off location. Connect to nigeria to get it immediately.

Sam, 28 Jun 2024Its crazy to see ur region still not have it...too late I d... moreDamm, I tried using VPN's, removing the local sim card, changing language, spoofing location, logging out of my tecno and google accounts. The atrociousness of the company to batch the updates. With Xiaomi, you can change region and it will miraculously work. The is no region change for Tecno unless i factory reset which is a big nono.

The waiting time to get android 14 is atrocious. Its almost july and android 15 releases this october. The fact that this is the 5g superior version but the base models get it first. Its giving atrocious.

I think, the Android 14 update is still not optimized for it to be its "official major update." Since I have not received the update itself (both Android 14 & HIOS 14), I think it is still kind of "BETA" because only some people are getting it. I'm unsure though but I think that is it.
EDIT: "Starting from the second quarter of 2024, CAMON 20 Pro 5G, CAMON 20 Pro, and CAMON 20 will also initiate the software upgrade to Android 14 (HiOS 14)." -Tecno Mobile Official
I guess the update is indeed a "BETA" that others are feeling right now which is not quite optimized. So yeah, we'll be getting ours I guess. The last day would be June 30th so around this month, the stated device models will get the Android 14 & HIOS 14.

For the people who had the Android 14 update, is it better? Like performance wise? Is heating still there? I just wanna know if I would update to it once they push out updates here in the Philippines. Also, hi!

2 big changes after android 14....
1.Battery backup is horrible not even last long more than 6 hours even on normal use
2. Once battery reaches below 19% it will shift refresh rate to 60hz no matter even if you set to 120hz manually still it runs on 60hz till battery die I guess they set the tunning by default to save battery but that's not cool we want to see 120hz running throughout I guess its a bug or they did for battery saving.. lets see need to fix this in upcoming updates

I also have this mobile...But before the update it was running at 90fps but after the update it has become 60. Anyone know why this happened?
