Mizukk115, 30 Dec 2024Well the "battery drain" Problem on "this ph... moreI don't think so, bro, cuz I just downloaded 5 apps after installing this new patch and resetting the phone, and the battery drain is still there, with just casual usage like whatsapp, snapchat and occasionally MLBB, with wifi and 4G/5G mixed, the SoT from 85% to 30% is just around 6 hours with this usage, it's very low compared to the condition before Android 14 update, cuz with this same usage it was around 10 hours of SoT... I really thinks it's some bug or issue with the initial (major) software update for Android 14...

    Well the "battery drain" Problem on "this phone" Is the usual apps problem, I reset all apps in my phone and its normal again

    Like typing in this apps only drawing 150-450mA which can last 10-15 hours

    My daily SoT without heavy apps used from 100-1% is 16 hours

    While full load/ gaming used is depend
    Medium usage game as pubg can take 3-4 hours
    Genshin impact is around 2 hours 30 minute
    And cytus/deemo/cytus 2 can take 4-5 hours

    All with wifi on
    If data on take 5-20% of the hours although it too depend on what load.


    Try to used devinfooverlay and turn on
    Show battery, cpu freq and batt temp

    Normally if you only do fast scroll on home
    It only take 200-700mA

    And facebook depend on whats in the page although stand still and non video only take 100-300mA which can last for 10-12 hours

    How can I say normal?

    I tested it with 5 other phone such as
    P55 5G, j7 prime, realme 10, sony xz2p and S10+

    Only sony and this phone are having the high end big power SoC, sometime it boosted so high even on idle although its normal.

    Once again, try to reset all the phone apps and of course if not used, kill all background apps.

        At least this update not make this phone more worse thats only thing for sure if your battery drain not fix / change at all. Lets wait next update and hopes tecno the main issue for us (for who still experience it)

            Rin, 29 Dec 2024An update already came the patch is CK8n-H931ABC-U-GL-24... moreAlright I just reset the phone and did this software update, well there's not much change related to this battery drain problem, overall feels like the phone's a bit faster (idk if it's because I reset the phone), and like Rin said, there's still this heating issue, hopefully at least the next patch fixes these problems...

              Alright already try it, and heres my thought afrer use phone from morning.

              First of all what we want to know is battery drain issue.
              Its get better ,after update android 14 till last patch update sot is like 5-6 hours (which is worst). I used phone from morning already above 6 hours from 100% now is 35% or 65% used, i assume its will take 1,5 - 2 hours for battery to get 0% in total its like 8,5-9 hours screen on time (sot) . Well im not say its good but its not bad either. At least now battery life became "decent" even other phone with 5000 mah can stand for 11-13 hours sot. Disclaimer i dont play games at all so idk how long it will stand for gaming.

              Second is heat which is serious problem with battery drain. Sadly i need to say it not change to much, i still feel this phone easy to get heat even just for daily usage, its not as worst before but yeah slightly better for now.

              And last update it self, tbh i didnt notice any change since i not experience any bug when use this phone this update affect nothing for me.

              Well thats i wanna to say. This update is good at least for battery tbh i plan to sell this phone before since the drain battery so annoying. But now i change my mind. You guys should try this patch update.

                    Mine heats up to about 41 - 43° on just regular use and the battery doesn't seem to last like on Android 13

                    I did about 2 system updates but It didn't seem to improve.

                    On android 13 I couldn't receive WhatsApp notifications, but Android 14 fixed it but battery drain is a setback

I think you right there is some hideen app / setting that draw battery so hard. Really hope neither it fixed or someone can tell what the main reason

I have the Mr. Doodle edition of this phone, and I use mostly for whatsapp, and casual gaming, it barely manages 5 hours from 85% to 40%, and I guess this is related to that damn Android 14 update... Hopefully Tecno fixes this soon, cuz I thought it was the battery issue of my phone, but now there are many people telling they are experiencing the same...

                                Rin, 12 Dec 2024Hello just bought this phone yesterday but seems i had batr... moreYeah, i used p55 5g and this phone, seems somehow both phone sometime drain battery so much and even when I used it daily, barely last 6 hours, I check the mA usage, when the battery drain fast, somehow theres some app hidden or I dont know what but the phone while idle or scrolling it used 450-2000mA, like thats the same as playing game or watching video FHD60fps, I just restartrd the phone, reset all the app setting and somehow it back to normal and only using 100-300mA only boostee to 700mA which is normal, and using wifi instead of data help too, like Concurently while typing on this comment, brightness 30%, wifi on, backgrounr apps on and only using around 100-400mA which can take the 5K mAh battery to 12 hours +

                                The itel p55 5g too have tje same issue and the same fix.

                                I Currently still investigating the subject and its quite hard since theres no task manager that as detail like on PC.

                                    Dammmn battery life really such a problem. After getting Android 14 update its getting worse. Currently my battery life only 5-6 Hours just for scrolling, its suck for 5000 Mah battery.

                                    Really hope tecno can fix it at least battery life should be 9 Hours minimum
