Just bought this yesterday, first impression is Snapdragon modem really blooms my 5G connection, even WiFi reception is incredibly stable and fast. The screen can be sharp with their upscale resolution setting, but colour is not as vibrant as some Samsung/LG,still bright enough with manual toggle. The phone is moderately great, not the best UI, I hated it a lot ngl, mediocre camera, but battery is tougher than my ability to drain it in 24 hours. Sound and haptic is quality. Remember enable fast charging in settings for 80w charging. Or else it will charge at 22.5w. gonna torture it for a few days with COD Warzone before making it my official daily driver.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2024surprised me too. i didnt expect it to perform well enough ... moreThe recipe from funtouch os 14 + SD 7 gen 3 + very big vapor chamber has an excellent stability even tortured with max graphic option on recent AAA grade games. UFS 2.2 never be a big problem though and 8/256GB option should be enough for daily use.

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2024Infinix Gt 20, Poco f6 pro, Poco x6 pro and iQoo Z9 Turbo 5... moreRealme is a part of bbk group, the same one goes with oppo, vivo, iqoo, oneplus. In other side, infinix belongs to transsion holding along with tecno and itel. Both has different UI and parent company.
But I agree with your opinion about xiaomi, they sold extremely cheap device by slapping you with forever nonsense AD and bloatware both on their miui and hyperOS. Somehow so many geeks ignoring this facts but this is the main reason why in general terms, people still prefer samsung/apple rather than sticking with annoying UI with so many nonsense AD and bloatware in it

Infinix Gt 20, Poco f6 pro, Poco x6 pro and iQoo Z9 Turbo 5G. In this mid range phone thats super hype for gaming I would prefer to bought iQoo Z9 Turbo 5G. Why iQoo? the Poco was better for gaming? the infinix are better for gaming. Im already use a Poco f3 and it does overheating, bug OS for Xiaomi, Bootloop and Deadboot insert my Poco f3 died because of a over heat and my cpu died. I dont like the OS of Xiaomi too many bugs and slow to fix by developers. So hows the Infinix? I dont have a phone a Infinix in my entire life. So why'd you exclude Infinix for your options? Because the UI its old, fyi Realme and Infinix have the same ui and I think OS are the same. How did I know? I had already Realme phone and I compare it to my friend phone which Infinix and 80% are the same UI. I prefer iqoo Z9 Turbo coz have massive battery life, super fast charging, 144hz for that prize and have a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and I know the Poco have this but do they have a massive battery health? 144 hz? i think no.

I have good impression in overall performance of this device. The very big downsize from this one was lack OIS compared with Z7 china (although i'm living in indonesia, idk why gsmarena naming it with suffix "china" for both) Z9 isn't all rounder in it's class but have superb stability due to SD 7 gen 3 and very big vapor chamber combo. very rare indeed in it's class. Not the fastest but surely could provide optimal performance from it's chipset.

iQOO Z9 5G, Poco X6 Pro, and Infinix Gt 20 Pro is currently a hard choices but for gaming only i recommended to buy Infinix..
Z9 5G and poco x6 pro is great for all rounder.. but if you have money to buy poco x6 pro, you can but it because its currently better than Z9 5G.

If you want the best value and performance at around the same price range, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is probably your best bet. It also has better cameras than the Z9, but the battery life is poor and it gets hot very easily.

deRykcihC, 30 Apr 2024I bought the phone for my mum, it's way better than th... moreYou mean the Redmi Note 13 5G? In my country, that phone is at least ~$181 USD while the Z9 is ~$262, it's just not comparable. But I don't exactly know where you live, so I can't make exact judgements since costs can vary per country, therefore my next sentence is just purely based on the prices in my country.
Here, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is a closer competitor as it costs about the same for the 8/256 configuration at ~$262 USD, both phones have their own strengths and weaknesses which I'll write down here:
IQOO Z9
- Better water resistance (IP64 vs IP54)
- Fully featured Always-On Display (always on, tap to display and scheduled, while the Redmi is limited to just 10 seconds)
- HDR10 support
- Better performance (at least 25% faster than Redmi)
- Better thermals (thanks to a much larger vapor chamber)
- Newer Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi 5 on Redmi)
- Newer Bluetooth 5.4 (Bluetooth 5.2 on Redmi)
- Larger battery (6000mAh vs 5100mAh)
- Ships with Android 14
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G
- Glass rear body (Z9 uses plastic)
- eSIM support
- 120Hz refresh rate on 1.5K resolution (Z9 is limited to 90Hz on 1.5K)
- Dolby Vision support
- Gorilla Glass Victus protection (Z9's glass protection is unknown)
- Better main camera with OIS
- Better digital zoom results (200MP vs 50MP)
- Ultrawide camera
- Macro camera (I don't personally use it)
- Slightly better selfie camera with better stabilization
- Headphone jack
- Slightly longer update span (4 years of security patches vs 3 years on Z9)
Personally, I think both are pretty good value at this price point. The Z9 is more suitable for gamers and power users looking for performance, endurance and effective cooling, while the Note 13 Pro 5G is more suitable for photographers and casual users looking for an all-rounder phone. At the end of the day, buy whatever phone that suits your needs and budget.
