They have separate teams of designer, separate budgets for R&D, with very different company cultures. They came into being under the same umbrella ownership of BKK at different time purely as an historical accident. BKK is just a collage of many unrelated companies. Vivo and Oppo are not being run as if they are a member of a larger company at all. On the other hand, Oppo owns Realme and OnePlus. These three companies are related to a certain degree at the operational level.

Guys do you turn on always on display on this vivo v11? It seems the always on display doesn't move without turning on and off the screen. Im afraid of screen burn in from turning on always on display.

I've seen Samsung phones without EIS (e.g. C9 Pro, A6+ etc.) and there you are really seeing the effect of not having EIS. In the same conditions, Vivo V11 is not taking quite as bad photos or video....

I would not recommend you vivo v11 if u care for update. Because vivo phone update really suck. While samsung note 9 is satisfying in term of quality overall and confirmed update on going for 2 years. Btw wait samsung note 10 if you afford it, it's interesting.

So many have posted their opinion but are neither actual users of the unit. Which is sad, because their opinions are not BACKED UP by facts. They are just posting useless comments that don't serve the reading public in a positive way.

no EIS, No type-c... c'mon trend is changing. and it's a premium mid segment. nokia is giving type-c port even in their mid-rangers.

Hi everyone, would just like to ask if it is normal for the under display fingerprint scanner to be slow sometimes? And at times fails to recognize fingerprints.

Got a replacement today from Vivo. They cooperated and exchanged the phone. Service center folks were really nice. The replacement is much much better. There's still a slight green tint still on one side, but hardly noticeable this time. Won't affect daily usage or bother me.
