Remember the fingerprint scanner to unlock the V3Max is a security measure. It makes no sence if you can see its memory contents in your PC when the phone is locked. Hence unlock the phone and then connect to your PC. Then only you will be able to see the phone memory and sd card memory as mass storage in your PC.

After reconnecting, look at the bubble message at the lower right corner of PC screen. The message should read 'device driver successfully installed'. Also keep an eye on the mobile screen, if it prompts you for any confirmation or permission. Let us know if you get any errors while following these steps. If 'device driver NOT successfully installed ' error comes, then reconnect the mobile.

Hi all! Just discovered this:
If you activate SMS delivery report, you get an arrow poking your message from the left, after the message is delivered! My older set would have a ✔ below the body of the text after delivery. I was missing that before discovering this.

Here in India they are a little deplomatic with "no official word", so not losing hope is more soothing to the soul. Please also note the fact that MM is not such a revolutionary upgrade. My wife's 10k Lava got this upgrade and still it is very much the same Lava! Nothing seems to have changed. Vivo has to move up to at least MM in these times of intense competition. Launching a whole new line up of products with that defies common sense. Among the current models, the latest is V3 Max, which can digest the upgrade. So, keeping hopes alive is not bad.

You have made a wise investment in V3Max, as it is the phone to beat in its price segment. Its only opposition is Lenovo Vibe X3, but that phone has one of the worst user experiences after buggy OTA updates from Lenovo.

Noticed NO heating issue but speakerphone seems slightly louder than before. May be a driver update. Frankly after owning their flagship Vivo X5Max, I never listen to music in V3Max but I tried out this time and the default music player had no issues. Overall a positive update.
