Pompeii, 06 Jul 2016Mi 5 or Vivo V3Max?Mi5 have lots of issues do not buy. After a lot of thought I went for v3max and it was a worthy buy. Go for it do not expect android upgrades. Also I am now thinking to get a vivo x5max after reading all the posts over there. You will not get the performance of v3max in x5max but it seems other things are better in that model. However I have not tried x5max.

MeMe, 30 Jun 2016Just bought the phone and Ive been using it for like 3 days... moreV3Max is a great phone no doubt and also the price is gradually reaching the sweet spot. Currently we can have this phone at INR 20K on eBay India which is great.
A word of caution, be sure to buy a good quality screen protector as soon as possible. V3Max comes with a 2.5D mineral glass display protection which is not as strong as Corning Gorilla Glass. My month old V3Max after a fall from a height of 3 feet has accumulated a slight scratch on the display.
On the other hand my Vivo X5Max came with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. I never needed any protection for it but still for extra care I was able to avail a very high quality Nillkin 2.5D Tempered Glass display protection named "NILLKIN Amazing H+ Nanometer Anti-Explosion Tempered Glass Screen Protector".
It looks premium and feels superb on X5Max. This tempered glass brings 2.5D curve display to X5Max and has ole-phobic coating to protect against smudges!!!
Unfortunately renowned companies like Nillkin provides Tempered Glass only for few selected Vivo X-series flagships like X5Max, XShot, Xplay3s, Xplay5 etc. So for mid-tier products like V3Max we have to avail locally made display protection which are not as good. :(
