How many days did vivo will provide updates to one p... moreFrom my past experience with Vivo phones, I will say for 2 years from the date of release. In case of Vivo V5 Plus which was released as on Jan, 2017 it will be upto Jan, 2019.
For me 2 years is a very reasonable time for software support, and I have found Vivo OTA updates are generally bug free.

What about new update? Is their any features added ... moreIn recent 3.5.2 OTA update for Vivo V5 Plus, there are no new features added in Funtouch OS. However this update was important to me as:
1) The phone speaker volume have become even louder and tone is slightly changed which is good.
2) The software is further optimized to consume less power, personally I found a slight increase in battery backup.
3) Latest Android security patches which is very important.
I don't know what are the new features added in Vivo V7+. Personally I will never buy that plastic phone.

The latest updates bring changes to the sound produced by the speakers. Sounds better.

I don't no why some people are so afraid to update to Nougat. The latest OTA update with android 7.1.2 update is a very stable update, great performance, even better battery life. However my V5 Plus never stops while playing Youtube or games. I had played Asphalt 8 on this phone with highest setting for more than 1 hour... and never did it abruptly stopped.
I bought mine at a heavily discounted price which was on par with Xiaomi Mi A1 on that time, still I preferred Vivo due to following reasons:
1) Supports fast charging
2) Supplied with 18 watts fast charger
3) Comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display protection
4) A more compact phone than A1, both having 5.5 inch 1080p displays
5) Better build quality than A1.
6) Better network reception than A1.

AnonD-734835, 03 Feb 2018I purchased vivo v5 plus on 1st Feb 18, phone is pretty goo... morei'm a heavy user and plays game alot on my v5 plus. before updating to nougat my battery always overheating and draining really fast in just few hours. but after update it does not overheat and the battery last longer than before. still fast charge as usual. but i notice when u take screenshot and send it to someone and u view it again it gets blurry. its not like before. i dont know about others phone but mine became like that. and when im watchin youtube or playing game it suddenly stopped and go back to my front screen. but whats important to me is battery. so i guess it doesnt bother me much. im hoping there will be face unlock feature in next update.

I heard about miui 10 going to release via ota for many mi devices, and Android P is going to launch in recent forthcoming days.Then what about Vivo,no new features(like on v7,v7 plus), no new funtouch os, no oreo upto now.what is this??????

Its owosome phone since 1+ year i am using V5+ mobile is very good.
Charging fast.sound quality is very good
display resulosion also good.

Recently y69 has got face access(face unlock) with a major update.so v5 plus would be in race eagerly waiting for.....😊..update.
