Music files should be properly categorized into artists, albums with album arts so that you never need any file explorer. You have the best music player in iMusic. Create playlist in iMusic as you desire and play the songs according to wish.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2016Is v3 max screen sound as good as x5max.Vivo V3Max is nowhere near Vivo X5Max in terms of sound quality over headphones and display quality. Forget not X5Max was their last flagship while V3Max is their current mid end device with much cheaper audio solution and normal quality LCD display to boast.

A phone which sound great over INR 20K earphones will also sound better over INR 1K earphones. I have tested with Cowon EK2 available in India at INR 1.2K, they pair well and sound awesome with X5Max.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2016Thanks. Another question. Is the phone has heating issues h... moreFew points to note before buying Vivo X5Max:
1) Contains best audio hardware, hence best audio quality over headphones.
2) Bright & vibrant display with punchy colors, ideal for movies. Contains one on the best 5.5 inch, FullHD, Samsung Super AMOLED displays you can find. The same Samsung AMOLED display now comes with OnePlus 3. BTW Vivo, Oppo & OnePlus belongs to same owner BBK Electronics of China.
3) Flagship grade built quality. You hold it in you hand and you will feel the difference.
4) Still the thinnest phone in the world, everybody will notice the thinness instantly.
5) Comes with Snapdragon 615 which is a heat king. Fear not X5Max have excellent thermal solution embedded in this phone as its was their flagship phone. With full battery I once played a super heavy game Asphalt 8 until the battery went dry, except for getting heated near the volume rocker area where the Snap 615 is embedded, there were no other issues. X5Max comes with metal chassis and body, hence it absorbs the heat from the chipset and make sit work efficiently. Not a Motorola Moto G4 Plus fiasco here. Heavy games play super smooth with no frame drops for extended periods of time.
6) It does NOT comes with inherent support for VoLTE. That said with Relaince Jio SIM you will still be able to surf internet like any other 4G phone, but for VoLTE calls you need to use their Jio app. If VoLTE is must then i recommend Vivo V3Max as I am also using this phone.
----------
As an audio enthusiast I have owned all Vivo flagships at one point of time. Be it Vivo XShot, Vivo X5Pro or Vivo X3S the phone which shined above all of them is undoubtedly the Vivo X5Max. No doubt it was their most expensive offering in India at INR 33K launch price.

It is true that x5max have awesome sound, as my audiophile dad even admits it has the bar set above LG v10. The only pity is you do not realize how good x5max is until you have used a good pair of headphones with it. When I had my v3max I thought it had best sound, but when i listened to x5max i found what i was missing. I only hope vivo makes a true successor of this masterpiece.

RishiGuru, 26 Sep 2016-----------------------------------------------------------... moreI have successfully performed this update in nearest Vivo service center. This is a good update.
After update:
1) You get back full control of the 16 GB internal memory. Before it was 2 GB for apps, now after update 12 GB.
2) memory card support of 128 gb as usual
3) My dad's X5Max and my vivo v3max have same level of smoothness in UI, and we are very happy with both.

I use Mxplayer which virtually plays any video files with built in codec and HW acceleration. I prefer watching movies at full hd 1080p resolution. RishiGuru, 26 Sep 2016-----------------------------------------------------------... moreI bought my vivo x5max and took it straight to service center for this update. Guys over there was very welcoming and did the update free of cost. Software updates are free of cost at their service centers. I am a heavy user, installed many softwares and never run out of internal memory. I watch a lot of movies, so use the 128 gb card to store them. This phone has best screen to watch movies. I am currently appreciating my x5max more than v3max and use as primary device.

RishiGuru, 26 Sep 2016-----------------------------------------------------------... moreGreat insight. After reading all your well versed, elaborated posts here, I had decided to have this X5Max. I already own a vivo V3max for few months which is a superb phone. Anyway after a weekof use i have observed few points of x5max
A) Great display
B) very fluid user experience
C) sound through headphones is a revelation. I use to my v3max have best sound, but after you hear a x5max you can hear and feel the difference. I also own a lenovo x3 like you and i must add x5max have better tonal accuracy than vibe x3.
D) Timeless design. I am from commercial design background and x5max have my highest regard in this. Seem to be billeted from a single piece of aluminum its external materials are more expensive than any phone i have seen till date.
I don't know how i missed on x5max, but it the best you can have for audio and timeless design.

Logic Gates, 22 Sep 2016Rishiguru, I got a Canadian version of ZTE Axion 7 through ... moreHad the honor to use ZTE Axon 7 for a day, courtesy one of my friends on visit to India. Sadly here, ZTE is not much bothered marketing their products, so we do not have the liberty to lay hands on their new phones including Axon 7. Impressions after a day's usage of an hour of web surfing, 3 hours of critical music listening over headphones and an hour of video left a very positive effect. Axon 7 is a solid product, a true flagship killer with a very polished user interface. Also great build quality and great display.
Since we are talking in context to audio I will come straight to the point. Hardware wise Axon 7 comes with two dedicated audio chips made by AKM. The AK4961 is for normal duty, which means powering the internal speaker, voice calls, earpiece & microphones. Sound and loudness through internal stereo speakers is excellent just like my Lenovo Vibe X3. So from internal speaker point of view Axon 7 is the clear winner over Vivo X5Max.
Now comes the most interesting part, its audio performance over headphones which audiophiles look out. For headphones Axon 7 packs another dedicated DAC, namely AK4490. With the HiFi mode in ON position I was listening to different genres of music. Headphones used were a high end RHA T20 and budget friendly Cowon EK2. From song number one, I found Axon 7 to be neutral sounding which is a big plus. Its low frequencies aka bass performance is good but it lacks the decisiveness and accurately timed punch found in X5Max. The mids are much thicker than X5Max, which translates to more warmer and more elastic sounding voice, more humane. But where it desperately fails to X5Max is in reproducing the high frequencies. It lacks the precision, the ability to remove layers of sonic glaze and provide the best possible separation of sound.
I know from the core of my heart it is very hard to beat the holy trinity of ESS Sabre ES9018 + ESS Sabre ES9601 + Texas Instruments OPA1612. All these in Vivo X5Max is powered by a dedicated power supply. This phone has the accuracy and the ability to resolve details from high quality lossless audio files which only my Lenovo Vibe X3 was able to come close to. X5Max have set the bar in terms of sound quality which is so high for phones, that none of the recently released Vivo's in India can even match its audio performance.
In terms of audio quality I will rank Axon 7 slightly above Vivo V3Max (which also comes with a previous generation AKM AK4375 DAC). Axon 7 & V3Max sounds more or less the same with same tonal signature as they both use DAC from the same vendor, AKM. Both are solid performers in terms of audio quality. Vivo X5Max though simply lives in a different plane and still is the BEST.
Later I found our good friends over Soomal, a highly regarded and respected audio related website in China are in-line with my views. You may go through their audio reviews to get a subjective as well as an objective analysis of ZTE Axon 7.
