I have it for a year now I rooted it and I can't make it to recognize USB drives through otg cable
Any suggestions? Anyone could make it work?

I have the smart mini since September 2013 and i don't regret it.
For me there's only one problem, the phone isn't compatible with almost any Custom ROMs or MODs because of its CPU (MediaTek MTK6575).
But still there are some MODs and ROMs, and i have them tested and 100% working with no bugs or glitches
To have a better thought about the phone you can install Custom recovery and ROM (From here:http://smartmini.wordpress.com/), Awesome Beats Audio Engine v5 Aroma (From here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728391) and get Poweramp from google play

Let me clarify: I don't give a damn for games or other idiotic apps. I use it to communicate (phone, sms, email, etc.) and calendar - synced to Thunderbird - mainly through wifi, Office (Kingsoft), GPS and listening to music, and this little thing makes wonders so far. The GPS, even offline, usually finds my current location at light speed. A very good surprise :).
