Unless your company has their own email app, that is available only at your company and nowhere else.

I still carry a huawei nova 7 device and I get regular security updates and even my old samsung note 9 gets 1 security update in 3 months. Xiaomi is terrible with security updates.

Ezekiel, 25 Sep 2022*their 4 years update are only an update or 2 in a year Huawei P40pro for example got 2 OS update so far, bcoz it has very little flaws.
For the same reason Samsung get quite frequent updates, maybe more than 3~4 per year.
                    Less updates = better.

Xiaomi is pathetic with their security updates.
They give security updates on half yearly basis forget about OS update.

awm101, 24 Sep 2022What would you suggest then to the person who's asking... morewell, i just stated my opinion and things i made some experience with.
I also think that no one should tell you what to do, bcoz if it goes wrong, you will try to blame someone else for a mistake you made, and it actually better to make mistakes by yourself - at least you will learn from your own mistakes.
That being said, you really need to upgrade after the phone gets no longer any android updates?
Apps will still get updates, so i see no problem here. The choice is yours.
I will just add, that i have not noticed what changed from android ver 12 to 13, seems all same to me.

Talking about 4 years of security updates and here I am still stuck on April month security patch. I am not alone as there are many who didn't get any security update after April... I wonder there 4 year updates are just once or twice a year kind of stuff... Xiaomi as always ain't reliable.

krissy, 23 Sep 2022" SD870 is more power-efficient " an interesting... moreWhat would you suggest then to the person who's asking to buy this phone or something else within the same price range?

I didn't state newer is better but Xiaomi don't support their phones like the way Apple does. I recall using RN4 MTK and it's hilarious how Xiaomi only gave MIUI updates but it's eternally in Android 6 from launch.

I'm looking from firmware support perspective regarding why it's preferred to get the newer ones because people don't want to buy 11T Pro in 2025 but then has it's firmware support already stopped by Xiaomi when they just purchased it.

I've personally had that happened to me because I really want a phone from a certain year but just be able to afford it some years later... when it no longer get any support.

awm101, 23 Sep 2022This phone would still be relevant I think in the next 3 ye... more" SD870 is more power-efficient "
an interesting claim, how about if someone compared 11Tpro vs MiNote10, made both phones navigate using google maps, and made it twice. First run both phones fully charged until one of them reaches 10%, and second time when both phones are at 90% and again run them down to 10%?

Well, how about MiNote10 despite being used since end of 2019 did drop 1~2% more than 11Tpro?
From 100% to 10% on the 11Tpro it took about 8hrs 15min, and at the same time MiNote10 had 9%.
                                        From 90% to 11% in 7hrs 30min vs MiNote10 at again 9%.

When MiNote10 was new, it did navigate for slightly more than 9hrs.
Newer is better? I would question that quite a lot.
