Go to additional settings..open developer options..enable the "Disable Absolute volume" option. Then restart your phone. Your issue will be fixed hopefully. If this doesn't work try changing you region to some other country but outside of EU and NA.

Got some doubts is the phone heating up too much is it different from the other 888 snapdragon smartphones or just normal heating which is expected when you cram stuff into a slim brick......also is the loss of camera ois really bad.

i'd assume that you don't own the phone because it's already indicated in the specifications that it doesn't have OIS. So how can you say anything about battery or any experience about the phone. :)
