Definitely I would buy it but unfortunately there is no B28 included, so sorry Xiaomi one unit less for sell and I think I am not alone.

I still waiting for the biggest MI 12 to be released.
Must be more then those 3 new releases.

StopBeingMadAboutIt, 29 Dec 2021I love big screens it's SO MUCH BETTER to watch videos... morePrecisely.
      Good mediacenter 🤗

OhNom, 29 Dec 2021I just put the BT as an example, not that I have to use it ... moreYou are talking about low power BT signals 'LE125k' , for this to work the receiver has to be super sensitive, the theoretical range is 2000meters.
And if you wonder why no one uses that awesome technology....that is bcoz the name LE125k suggest the max transfer speed = 125 kbit/s , this is by far never at a distance greater than 100m, at 2000m the speed will be far far slower.
        You need special antennas too.

And if you ask how much slower it is compared to BT 5.0, well you get 2Mbps vs 125 kbit/s = 0,125Mbps.
Yes, it is at least 16 times slower than 5.0.
And like i pointed out, with WiFi you get awesome mobility at a decent speed.
I guess the name 'mobile phone' would be pointless if the phone is connected vie cable...just saying lol

Now, if you go as far as using antennas ....how about a 50cm square shaped WiFi antenna( SIL MAX 1000-PCP) that has a range of 20 000meters? and max transfer rate of 1000Mbps?
obviously at 20 000m the speed will be that of a BT 5.0. This thing consumes10~15Watts constantly. So can't power it with a phone....obviously, just like the LE125k.

But, it still won't change the range of your phone. For simple things like a bad quality phone call, you can have even 300m of range with some handset.
But we are talking here about data transfer.
The reason why BT exists is bcoz it uses less power....and thus it transmits less data.

Makimaki, 29 Dec 2021Look. SD,UsB, Jack, IP68 this means 50 EUR more. And are no... more" All these additions cost extra money, which ppl cannot afford "

And people can afford cloud storage which has recurring monthly fees? When a SD card is a one time investment?

People can afford to use electricity to charge extra Bluetooth headphone batteries versus using a normal wired battery free headset?

Also, plethora of Internet radio stations instead of a built-in radio receiver? Is Internet free? Is Internet traffic free? Does using the Internet not consume data?

So no, I'd rather have a built in chip for a small one time fee and use it without any strings attached...

are phones getting worse than better? i thought we got technological progress. this phone got only usb-c 2.0 instead of 3.1 (like its predecessor), it's got only 2× optical zoom (predecessor had 5× optical zoom), highest storage option is 256gb (predecessor had choice for 512gb), it's got no card slot (same like predecessor) and finally it's got 120w charging to burn your battery off, so you will need to buy a new one earlier.

krissy, 29 Dec 2021bcoz you don't need any additional software on your PC... moreI just put the BT as an example, not that I have to use it

                    "BT 5.0 goes to a maximum of 2 Mbps = 0.25 MB / s by the way."
It has some reason BT LE reaches that speed, the normal one far exceeds it, and BT currently has an operating range of 240 meters, not 10, clearly depending on the device you use, and if we take into account that when a drone does not have WIFI the range goes to use BT from 2-2.4Ghz is much higher

It's funny how I only attack one line of everything I said, don't ask questions about why we need USB 3.0 is a stupid question, should we all use wireless charging even if it is slower? At the speed of USB 3.0 any normal person is more than 100 times faster than you transferring files, I can pass in 10 seconds what would it take how long? 12? And then use the 11 minutes and 40 seconds to walk around my house

In addition, it increases the number of pins in each generation and also the amount of power it can supply

Look. SD,UsB, Jack, IP68 this means 50 EUR more. And are not very important features. We use cloud more than SD, use Bluetooth more than wired hradphones or better USB connections. Radio? Omg there is plethora of internet radio stations.

All these additions cost extra money, which ppl cannot afford.

Btw did GSMarena thought about listing sensor type with camera specs. Many dont know, this phone isnusing 50MP IMX707, non pro is using IMX766. They say it is big difference, because of pixle size. Seeing how Nord 2 did cca 115 DXOmark with IMX766, maybe this one with better cpu and processing, can go north of 120. But on PRO IMX707, could go north of 130. Maybe.

And like i said, the limit in my case is the 10y old PC hardware.

                                Btw BT 5.0 goes at max 2Mbps = 0,25MB/s.
This means, even at my current lower speed i go 32 times faster than BT 5.0 when it's at max speed .
And if i somehow would use all the 100Mbit, and the phone could handle such speeds = 50 times faster than BT 5.0.

Make no mistake, i use WiFi not BT. The transfer speed is not limited to few meters, but will drop if i move further away from the PC than 30 meters, or maybe more than that.
And at 50 meters if no walls or buildings in between, i would still be connected - with poor speed, but BT has no such range. BT has what, 10m range or less?

With WiFi + FTP i can walk around my house and even go outside and run around the house.

Shab, 29 Dec 2021This is what competitors do?Not really, at least not in this range/price-point, but if you look hard enough I'm sure you'll find some odd example. For instance, the direct competitors from OnePlus have the latest USB speeds. But it is pretty common to find USB 2.0 in lower-tiered phones.

The one and only exception in the flagship range is Apple, but that's because they bank on their highly integrated ecosystem to seamlessly use the much faster Wifi to transfer files across devices without their users even noticing what's really happening. The closest thing we have to that in the Android world is Windows "Your Phone," but it's not really that close.

Xiaomi has neither that seamless integration nor the cable speeds, and it's already hindering them in DEX-like use-cases (i.e., your phone powering a monitor, mouse and keyboard like a desktop computer) that really need the speed and support for extra modes (e.g., video) which the USB 2.0 connection is unable to deliver. Furthermore, it's a pain to transfer RAW footage from those glorious cameras at USB 2.0 speeds... as the Mi Ultra users are painfully aware.

Well, price point is amazing at 650 Euros(if it is not a mistake). One thing is which was an unpleasant surprise is the only 2x optical zoom(predecessor has 5x).
