Look. SD,UsB, Jack, IP68 this means 50 EUR more. And are not very important features. We use cloud more than SD, use Bluetooth more than wired hradphones or better USB connections. Radio? Omg there is plethora of internet radio stations.

All these additions cost extra money, which ppl cannot afford.

Btw did GSMarena thought about listing sensor type with camera specs. Many dont know, this phone isnusing 50MP IMX707, non pro is using IMX766. They say it is big difference, because of pixle size. Seeing how Nord 2 did cca 115 DXOmark with IMX766, maybe this one with better cpu and processing, can go north of 120. But on PRO IMX707, could go north of 130. Maybe.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2021They removed ip68 that exist in 11 pro here Just xperia... moreI don't care about IP68, i'm not using phone under a water or on the rain.

OhNom, 29 Dec 2021"So why would I want to wire it up?" To have a... morebcoz you don't need any additional software on your PC nor apps, and you can access anything on you phone from the PC too, no such option via BT.
And like i said, the limit in my case is the 10y old PC hardware.

        Btw BT 5.0 goes at max 2Mbps = 0,25MB/s.
This means, even at my current lower speed i go 32 times faster than BT 5.0 when it's at max speed .
And if i somehow would use all the 100Mbit, and the phone could handle such speeds = 50 times faster than BT 5.0.

Make no mistake, i use WiFi not BT. The transfer speed is not limited to few meters, but will drop if i move further away from the PC than 30 meters, or maybe more than that.
And at 50 meters if no walls or buildings in between, i would still be connected - with poor speed, but BT has no such range. BT has what, 10m range or less?

With WiFi + FTP i can walk around my house and even go outside and run around the house.

You did your head under snow to convince yourself day is night

Xiaomi said a lie about Mi 11 Ultra, ultimate android
that device is not near complete
Again i'm saying, xiaomi wants to be leader in mobile they should have leader behaviours even better than what samsung or nokia did in past (i know samsung still is leader)
They removed IP 68 in mi 12 pro Wow!
They removed sd card in redmi note 11 series, one of main reason that redmi note series popularity
Thats a problem removing features year by year like we are dumb or some thing
          We shouldn't be blind
Our behaviours letting them to do that stuff
Even mobile reviewers doesn't care about what happening!
          Flagship doesn't mean removing features
If some one say it's for readying future wireless or some thing like that↓
At least we need one complete smartphone in every segment in every manufacturers
We have this right to have complete one

What, no 4G Band 20? Surely that would not go down well in many European countries including UK? Perhaps these specs are only for China version?

Shab, 29 Dec 2021This is what competitors do?Not really, at least not in this range/price-point, but if you look hard enough I'm sure you'll find some odd example. For instance, the direct competitors from OnePlus have the latest USB speeds. But it is pretty common to find USB 2.0 in lower-tiered phones.

The one and only exception in the flagship range is Apple, but that's because they bank on their highly integrated ecosystem to seamlessly use the much faster Wifi to transfer files across devices without their users even noticing what's really happening. The closest thing we have to that in the Android world is Windows "Your Phone," but it's not really that close.

Xiaomi has neither that seamless integration nor the cable speeds, and it's already hindering them in DEX-like use-cases (i.e., your phone powering a monitor, mouse and keyboard like a desktop computer) that really need the speed and support for extra modes (e.g., video) which the USB 2.0 connection is unable to deliver. Furthermore, it's a pain to transfer RAW footage from those glorious cameras at USB 2.0 speeds... as the Mi Ultra users are painfully aware.

Well, price point is amazing at 650 Euros(if it is not a mistake). One thing is which was an unpleasant surprise is the only 2x optical zoom(predecessor has 5x).

To have a transfer 100 times faster? Even bluetooth 5 allows higher speeds, it would be like saying why do I want cable if wireless charging allows me to charge the phone in 4 hours. I don't know if you think using FTP makes it cooler than most or just like it, but hey it was just saying

Shotty, 29 Dec 2021USB-C 2.0 is the second generation of USB-C, which offers d... moreUsb 2.0 is the transfer technology, USB C is just the shape of the connector, lightning is still USB 2.0, I don't know if he did it on purpose or he really doesn't know, USB-C has no generations, it's like saying micro USB 2 , and the speed is not close to 10gbit, only 3.1, 3.2 and 4.0 can reach its speed, Xiaomi is using technology from 2000, even USB 3.0 was released in 2008, I think it is time for them to update it

OhNom, 29 Dec 2021Everyone who is transferring a large file? Or do you know o... morei use FTP with WiFi, so PC->FTP->phone; sadly the WiFi card on my desktop allows me to upload max 100Mbit....so does the router, so the actual transfer speed from PC to phone is about 8MB/s average(depends on what file type, should be more but something is eating up part of the speed), the other way around is limited by the phone's storage only.
I need no cables, and the Mi File Manager has already a FTP option, i installed it on all of my phones, works just as good on Huawei and Samsung.

So why would i ever want to connect it with cables?

This phone is a monster. There are 2 problems; 1) Europe will probably see a delayed release date. 2) By the time it gets released, we'll probably have a Xiaomi 12 Pro Max, 12 Pro Ultra, 12 Lite Ultra, a 12 Lite Max, a 12 Pro 2, a 12 Pro Ultra Max 2, and about another 15 models.

xeed, 29 Dec 2021wtf bro!!! "USB type C 2" not "USB2"Usb type c 2.0 is usb 2.0 in a form of usb type c. I think you are the one who doesn't know what it is ;)
