martin, 13 Dec 2022Xiaomi mi 12 is ip 68 and is WATERPROOFI'm certain that it definitely has basic ip52/53 resistance... Not sure about waterproof though, no phone in the world is completely waterproof. Water resistant? Yes. But waterproof? No.

- QHD+ 120hz display with Dolby vision
- Proper stereo speakers (True 50-50, no 30-70, 40-60 nonsense)
- SD 8 Gen 1 (has issues with heat, but still a powerhouse in every right)
- Battery that got better with time (updates)
- Software support till 3 Android versions and 4 years of security updates.
- Not the best but good enough cameras with all the bells and whistles of a flagship (4k, 8k etc)
- A solid build with metal frame, GG Victus

What is not shown in the specs is the raw output. This is vital in order to extract maximum dynamic range. I always take photos in raw if available. Our memories are so precious to remove extra information from our pictures. Confirmed by Techtablets channel, from its menu. Not dure if we can process the raw file.
What is missing is also information about stereo audio recording. Sony Xperia phones all come with Binaural audio, and the latest from XZ2 HDR video recording.
Not sure about Xiaomi though.

4G Carrier aggregation is not working on this phone Xiaomi 12 Pro international model. Not showing 4G+ icon at all. Checked with Netmonster app also. Oneplus phone is working perfectly and constantly latching on 4G+ network with the same SIM card at same place. 40C , 40-40 & 3-40 all the 4G band combination are not working with Airtel India SIM. Same 4G+ combinations are working well with all Oneplus mobile. Looks some issue with this phone with 4G+ networks.

It is a great phone. I have one feedback on a weird little issue which I think Mi can easily fix with a software update but it is affecting my use of phone almost every day.
In a room lit with warm light such as incandescent bulb, the phone thinks that it is dark and lowers down its screen brightness to the point that I need to manually bring up the brightness. This happens every single day. The problem was not there with my previous Xiaomi phone.

All my excitement went in vain.. bad experience.. got my Xiaomi 12 pro 3 months back for 72k now price dropped to 54k. After complaining so many times still fingerprint unlock and face unlock has an issue, though I have warranty service centre is unable to resolve the issue. During video running suddenly the phone abruptly flashes off and comes to screen off mode. Totally disappointed with the overall performance. Shall never recommend this device to anyone.
