This phone is beyond bad as the camera modual is about 10x bigger than it needs to be,they should use that space for bug fixes,alongside this you can easily damage the camera by placing it on a can (this twists the lens off and causes small combustion for prolonged period)

I will say that you always want higher resolution capabilities on the Ultrawide, as there is more in frame. 12mp isn't ideal and does hold output back but the sensors are cheap so companies still use them.

the truth about usb c is that audio quality is numeric not analogic so using headphones with usb c you get the best quality audio resolution, bits ... or whatere called
and more possibility to use professional headphones with alot of buttons even a gaming headphones with rgb...

If they don't come out with a global version, then I'll get the CN version. My Mi 11 is also a CN version. I'm buying this phone no matter what lol!

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2022im not sure what the point of a 12mp cam is anymore. its es... morePretty having 12mp camera is enough and still remains the standard for ultrawide lens and budget phones, even if it's "hUrR oLd TeCh DuRr" like for example, a photographer is still happy with Canon 600D despite being 18mp. I rather shooting photos with N95 8GB camera.

im not sure what the point of a 12mp cam is anymore. its essentially old tech... bigger sensors are nice an all i get it .. more light an shadows an whatnot but its just funny cuz the 25/27mp xiaomi's you did... take better DETAILED photo's... im not goin back to 12mp bigger sensor or not....

one thing i noticed about xiaomi phones is that they doesnt have protective rubber on motherboard connectors for dust/water proctection witch is a bad point
compared to oppo almost all phones have this feature
but for a phone more than 200 dollars it should have this protection on motherboard

This phone is not for everybody. If you are just buying it for the type-1 sensor then maybe not the best idea of the year so far. Sony and zeiss collaborations should be good reasons if you are willing to compromise in some areas.
That aside you could buy a dedicated camera with an 1 inch sensor like a sony rx100. The difference being superior optics. At the end of the scale you could buy a zeiss zx1 camera with android built-in.
Business relations has certainly slowed down the growth of the Chinese smartphone outside their land borders.
