It all depends what you prioritize more.

Could use some advice, i am considering buying the xiaomi 12T. I am currently using a galaxy a10S which is borrowed as my oneplus nord was stolen.

For me camera quality and battery life are important, but also want a smooth phone, am on a small budget so these are my options:

    - Xiaomi mi 12T 256/8 (second hand with warranty)
    - Redmi note 12 pro 5G 256/8 (second hand with warranty)
    - Samsung s21 5G FE 256/8 (second hand with warranty)
    - Vivo V25 5G 128/8 (new)

    Which one would you recomend??

chris, 18 Jan 2024why mi 12T degrading the battery and consume a lot battery?... moretry disabling 5g because it uses more battery, personally can't justify having it enabled all the time. try disabling notifications or uninstalling apps if they are not useful (i was suspicious that twitter used more battery so i disabled its notis)

for the one asking, i got hyperOS last week, 1.0.5.0.xxxx and android version is 14 / security update is from november 2023 (no updates pending)

Dazzy M, 05 Jan 2024Thinking about getting this over the Xiaomi 12Lite, which i... moreyou may like the larger 12T's screen but at the same time it's a bit heavier and may consume more battery (you get 4300 in the 12 lite but it has smaller screen likely using less battery). I wouldn't mind not getting the 120W the 12T offers. I may choose 12 lite if a powerful processor is not mandatory (i'd not chose something like note 12 because of the processor if going to use a lot of demanding apps, but you could likely survive with that anyways)

disclaimer, as stated i've owned a 12T for about a year and use it daily. i haven't tested nor owned the 12 lite and my opinions are based on my experience with 12T and what i can deduct from gsmarena's compare phones page

JayRoar, 16 Dec 2023I have this phone for over a year now. I have accidentally ... moresorry for that. the fear of ruining an expensive phone has led me to limit myself to cheaper options in the past. i've been taking care of my 12T but at times it feels like a burden to take care of it all the time. just got an note 12 as secondary (for the not so demanding apps) for that reason and it had the side effect of cleaning the 12T of a lot of notifications that are not always relevant and are now in the secondary phone.

i've had the phone for nearly a year too and i expect it to last a lot longer if not well... that'd be a lot of wasted money

If you are thinking to buy either of these phones, 12T is better but 12 lite isn't but either, it all depends on how priced are both of these phones. Tell me what are the lowest prices available at your country for both of these phones.

Thinking about getting this over the Xiaomi 12Lite, which is smaller and lighter! Is this upgrade really worth the extra money?

I have this phone for over a year now. I have accidentally dropped it about 3 times already and all at about 2 feet. Today i dropped it again for about a foot and a half (i was sitting facing the floor) and suddenly it has green lines just after a minute i picked it up.
Its my fault i know, but this is the first time ever in my life. I guess next time i have to buy cheaper phones as my secondary.

For processor choice, still Snapdragon chip is more preferred. For normal usage, Dimensity 8100 is fine though.
