The fact that they're doing a lacklustre job with those 1 inch sensors through a piss poor job of software processing? What about the actual quality of the sensors they're using? They are incredibly overrated. S23 ultra is getting an update soon, and continuously after that, which tells me they're going to blow the competition out of the water. I guess if it matters that much, the S24 is going to finally change those sensors to a 1 inch, providing excellent optimisation as well .

Svensonn, 17 Mar 2023I just bought Xiaomi 13 Pro, and i think the camera is good... moreI agree with you, I have also tested both and the Xiaomi is good but still far from being at the same level of the Samsung S23 Ultra, the 1" sensor underperforms because of MIUI and the terrible ISP Xiaomi has with that software.
The guy with X5u location has been praising Xiaomi for months (I hope someone at least pays him for his comments) yet they're way too far from reality as just checking any serious comparison or review site, we can see the cameras are far from the best.
And also in overall as a phone, this Xiaomi 13 Pro is even more far from the best. Compared to Samsung S23 Ultra, it has worse screen, worse audio, worse cameras, worse software, worse build quality and so on... And I have had both unlike some fanboys praising this phone just for their love to Xiaomi.
I even have a comparison in my YT Channel but I won't post it here as I don't self promote myself. I am very disappointed and critical with this phone because they sell it for 800€ in China and 1400€ in Europe, and it's worth 800€ but 1300-1400€ is laugheable as even a S23 Ultra is cheaper while it's much better.

Even my s21u produced b... moreThe Xiaomi 13 Pro has easily the WORST camera of all 2023 flagships and all reviews and comparisons prove it as well. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra was lacking and the 13 Pro is no surprise to be lacking as well given the fact it has the same 1" sensor but with the same mediocre ISP Xiaomi / MIUI have.
I've made a comparison between both S23 Ultra and 13 Pro and the Samsung is by far the winner in pretty much everything like main camera, high dynamic range, color accuracy or night photos. Also better results in low light UW camera despite having an inferior sensor and miles ahead in zoom, video or selfie for both photos and videos.
The Xiaomi is not bad at all, but the improvement of the S23U over the S22U is massive and Xiaomi is mediocre as always, don't believe me? Check any comparison. Check Dxomark. Rank 17th is for something and their image comparison tool shows how bad it performs against other phones if you don't trust their scores. I have compared both and the S23 Ultra is miles ahead.

Both of these are much worse than the Samsung S23 Ultra in overall camera capacities (just as Xiaomi 13 Pro is much worse) and the upcoming king maybe of Xiaomi brand, as the KING OF 2023 SMARTPHONES is undoubtely the Samsung S23 Ultra and no competitor comes even close.
Chinese brands still putting 1080/30 selfie while Samsung has 4K/60 HDR, still having mediocre 2-3x zoom while Samsung has 10x optical, USB 2.0 while Samsung has 3.2 and so on... Samsung is by far at the top and unless iPhone makes a miracle with iPhone 15 Pro Max, Samsung is king of 2023 no matter if you like the reality or not. I know it's hard for you being a Xiaomi lover bur Samsung is just better in all except for fast charge.

Guys do you think the quality of phones made in india is good? As most Samsung/xiaomi phones are coming from india ( mid east golf countries till africa). I have seen a lot of phones made in india for like 100$ cheaper than normal global price. Is it good? Or should i pay more

Even my s21u produced b... moreI'm not talking about the S22U, besides with the latest software updates, they've improved last years flagships significantly so these complaints aren't valid anymore. I'll agree they really held back last year and made quite a few mistakes especially with the chips they manufactured. I've got the S23U and I'm telling you, from the sensor (hardware) to the barebones of the processing software, Samsung has nailed it this year, and on top of that, they're going to be consistently updating it via software patches so expect it to be even greater over time.
Xiaomi's camera is great, but its just not on the level it should be with other competitors considering it uses a 1 inch sensor as well. Most of the reviewers if not all are saying the same thing. Sorry, but Chinese phones are off the mark when it comes to software processing and zoom capabilities which holds back their hardware so much. I've yet to see a Chinese brand match what the Mate series were doing back in 2016-2018.

It's not that hard to admit if you're not deep in Samsung's behind: Xiaomi really nailed it in photography department this year - and we haven't even seen the Ultra yet.
13 Pro did wonders in Android camera comparison, I expect Ultra's performance to be nothing short of a miracle.

First time Xiaomi 13 and 13 pro both have US 5g band 71...so slow to get to this juncture (also have lte and 5g bands 41 and extended lte 66 which have been there since mi11 lite 5g and mi11 ultra)
