Anonymous, 27 Aug 20244h SoT seems way too low though. It seems like it. Tho I was told that the battery life should stabilize in a week. I've had the device for a week now. Charging it fully to 100% by 6am and finding myself to have at least 30% of battery by 6pm. Is this good or not?

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2024Auto brightness wouldn't make much of a difference.I always think that setting the auto brightness off is better in the sense that you can control your device brightness as you wish rather than the device always "working" to adjust the brightness automatically thus saving a bit of battery. Would you agree?

But, does turning off auto brightness do help?
Also, Xiaomi devices have no way to set the screen resolution (FHD, QHD, etc.) unlike Samsung. Nothing i can find in the settings unless I am blind. haha.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2024To people like you who are obsessed with "clean" ... moreI suppose there are advantages to having a "near-stock" or "AOSP-like" OS & UX on a phone. We can replicate stock Android by putting a third-party launcher.
One of my favourites is Motorola's and Nothing's ones. It's a good mixture of useful first-party features and stock especially Moto's.

Leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 14T Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K70 Ultra.
I have a feeling that the regular Xiaomi 14T will basically be a souped-up Poco X6 Pro with IP68, better build quality, brighter display, better cameras, slightly bigger battery, and faster charging.

It's incredibly barebones and nearly impossible to enjoy.

For those of you reading this, this phone is still an amazing purchase in 2024. The 144Hz OLED and the 67W charging are a big deal.
Plus, it still has until Android 17!
Although, the Chipset and UFS version does make me worry a bit, I believe it can chew through anything, just like the X3 pro did.
Thanks!

It'll adjust itself after a while. HyperOS adapts to your battery usage.

My 13T is currently on Hyper OS 1.0.11.0 and all first-party apps are up to date. I still find myself "wanting" for more battery life.
Just to put things in context: I work 9-5 (phone connected to wifi @ home and 4G a@ work - both of which have excellent reception), I do not game, I do not stream, I'm not a vlogger or a content creator.
I charge my battery by 6am to 100% and i put my device on battery saving mode. I get just over 4 hours of SOT, the phone drains 1% per 15 minutes and I still have around 30% battery by 7pm.
I've only turned on notifications if i have to, no background apps running and permissions are set to limited especially with Location.
Apart from the other typical battery saving tips known online is there anything else I need to do to save on battery life and increase the performance slightly? (Note: I'm aware of the Developer Options to speed up the animations).
