Chipset may be cheap, phone must be a lil bit expensive depending on what they add: features, extra performance (like fan cooling inside), etc.

Of course, I agree with you completely, I wish everything were cheaper.
The main reason why it is expensive is the special Leica camera system.

Almost perfect phone everything is there. Value for money. But they have to push update regularly. The hardware is good but they have to tune it

Literally the perfect phone!
I've been using it for a month, the screen is amazing, the performance is satisfactory and the cameras are great.

Yes it is easy. All information is on the internet. Google is accessible for everybody too. It's a good combination to search an information about specific components.

However, the camera / lens does not have enough depth of field which causes a major problem with focus even at its f/4. Second, despite it's IP68 rating, the display doesn't have Gorilla Glass Victus and it scratches very easily. Both problems are hardware related, so obviously can't be fixed. And it's a Flagship! There was no way to know these before buying it.

This is undoubtedly the best phone I have ever owned, with far and out, the best Display and Camera I've ever had. And I'm coming from a Pixel 6 Pro. The Camera however, is not for everyone as it does not produce perfect results without 'some' editing. Having said that, you could reduce contrast and adjust colour slightly quite easily but I'm a photographer, so I do serious editing on my phone and then it looks amazing. And I love doing that! The display is fabulous with even Pro (soft) calibration options which is great! Cons: The glass is not Gorilla Glass Victus (forget GGV2) and it scratches easily. I would guess that this is because of it's unique, lovely, all around bezel, maybe Corning couldn't make it out of GG Victus... ? Then, the software seriously needs improvement, especially with image processing. Sometimes I don't have time to edit photos. Battery life is fine, not super great but it sees me through the day. The camera bump is VERY big and this is occasionally awkward. The super-innovative Camera Kit is not available here plus it's expensive. Last, Xiaomi (in India) are not helpful. They just sell. Ask their staff any questions and they don't know the answers. But bottom line, having said all that, the Pros far outweigh the Cons and I love this phone!
