dcdev, 01 May 2024If you like to take photos, no, no Samsung. I have S23U and... moreMaybe he likes more brighter and sharpened photos but oversharpened!=natural photos. Then it's a good choice otherwise probably any new other flagship is better except xperia 1 v with super bad auto mode.

Furkan , 27 Apr 2024Do you use Hyper Os ? or only Miui ?HyperOS was released 2023 October so you can't mention it yet :). Wait for at least 2-3 major OS upgrades then we will talk. I guarantee you it will become miui 2.0 just with more beautiful UI

K, 22 Apr 2024Overpriced for what it is, the camera is top side heavy and... moreYour very long comment sounds sooooo negative. As for camera quality “okay", I strongly disagree with you. The lenses are developed by Leica and are top notch and the camera is also tuned by Leica. I have made so many pictures with mine and the quality is outstanding and the camera is extremely versatile. I agree that this phone which is more of a mini camera with a 1” sensor is not for everybody with its huge lens. But if you like photography very much, then this phone is for you as it also has a photography kit which can give the phone a grip like a real camera. You can even screw filters on the lens.Besides, the pictures don't look like the usual smart phone HDR overprocessed and oversharpened pictures but as if they were taken with a real camera. For those that don't like the big lens, they can go for the regular Xiaomi 14 but then they will not get the 1 inch sensor but still a very good camera.
As for the HyperOs, it is very very smooth. As it is quite new, I am sure many updates will come soon. And let's be frank, some Os are simply too overloaded and complex for a phone.

Moseskk, 22 Apr 2024I need your advice xiaomi 14 Ultra, Samsung S24 Ultra and S... moreIt depends what are you planning to use your smartphone for. For long term use samsung for sure. For more features samsung for sure. For the price sony xperia 1 V. For stock camera experience probably xiaomi(if you don't mind playing with gcam then samsung) and so on.

Personally I would use samsung because of 7 OS updates, great features, spen. Or xiaomi but that depends which one is cheaper.

I need your advice xiaomi 14 Ultra, Samsung S24 Ultra and Sony 1 V, what is the best of all 3 devices because I have $1300 and I need a good android smartphone. Please try to give me feedback thank you.

Overpriced for what it is, the camera is top side heavy and bulges out considerably. Camera quality is ok, nothing impressive. No built in SD card slot which seems to be the norm for all these useless companies trying to get people to store everything they have on there cloud crap. 512gb is a pathetic amount storage for a device being sold for over £1200 with a camera that does 8k video.. it is cheaper to buy 1tb or even 512gb sd card with decent performance for additional storage but good luck finding a mobile manufacture that hasn't jumped on board with screwing consumers and overpricing these shit bricks. The actual worst part of this phone however isn't the hardware (although there is slight rattle to the camera lenses area you could live with it, its screams low quality if you were start running with it, you notice it more). Anyway the sad part of this phone is the hypersh-t OS, which I haven't been more disappointed in, for such an Ultra phone.. limited by retarded stuff like max 3 notifications icons.. like this is just plain stupid limitation when there is ample screenspace to show more. The lockscreen is basic, the customization for it is basic, the themes are terrible eeerg. I had upgraded from Samsung Note 9 (2018!) and use a Pixel8, the OS on that older samsung phone now has better design and more options and than this 2024 hyperjunk OS. Also I don't know what tools at xiaomi thought providing a new phone where all the icons are shown without labels.... it took me 10mins to find which was the settings button icon and another 30mins just to find the settings to show button label text again so I could figure out what all the different icons were for. This is just a OS with terrible default values and crap design UX through and through, its under developed in every way possible with options and customizing you wish you could have for so many areas... this review couldn't be detailed enough to point out all the flaws and terrible UX this OS has or where other phone OS have done things better... the only hope is that HyperOS 2.0 actually improves on this basic rubbish but I doubt it. Its not like there isn't a history of other phones and OS's that have done some things better for years now, but when you look at all the retards on youtube giving these phones great reviews or even the reviews here you would think it was remarkable.. it well it ain't. Many people like the Samsung swipe gesture bar and options that had, the one on this phone doesn't compare, you also don't get any customization on the nav bar looks where it can look like a slimline view that is always on. The details of how these things are implemented and the UI for it matters. Luckily for xiaomi the phone doesn't have the fog lense issue that many in the UK had reporte, however it does have a rattle to it.. No idea if future OS upgrades will fix and improve all the issues I have with this phone.

No e-sim. A failure of a flagship phone for that reason alone

Gayrat, 20 Apr 2024Whoever used Xiaomi and Vivo, which would you prefer? I wan... moreI've never used a Vivo phone. Based on the reviews I've seen, it does seem like the Vivo X100 pro is probably a bit better at auto-mode shots being immediately shareable more reliably.

I still feel like for a photographer, the ceiling for the X14U is higher once you know what you're doing. There's just more flexibility IMO. This is exactly what I was after.

I think though, the differences you will find will be minor and either one will suit photographic pursuits just fine.

Nitpicking now between advanced camera flagships is a bit silly. Like debating a single grain of sand on a vast beach.

I think at this point the end result depends more on the specific scene, composition, photographer and post editing. I would venture to say a reasonably accomplished photographer would be able to get great shots from either reliably

I've been using the Xiaomi 14 ultra since April 2, I got the international variant, and I gotta say this phone is amazing, if you have problema about the camera quality, you probably don't use it's settings good enough

Usually this phone for me i run at -0.3EV though because this phone tends to like over brightening shots a little for my taste, sometimes it's also excessive and I may even reach levels of -2.0EV, but just with that one setting alone I don't need pro mode as often because of it

if you know what you're doing, this phone definitely is worth it

And about that camera bump... It's easy to get used to, but well I use the Leather case so I can't really speak too much of it

One issue though is camera moist, which is apparently permanently removable but I can't get the time to actually figure that out meaning when it gets cold i can't record stuff without the camera fogging up
