If the European variant costs as much as the Chinese one, has a 6000 mAh battery and a charger in the box, it would definitely be worth it. But the European variant has a smaller 5410 mAh battery, it will cost €1499 (512GB version) and the charger, as has become the norm lately, will probably have to be bought separately.
Regarding that charger, once and for all: There is no EU directive preventing manufacturers from putting a charger in the box. These are fairy tales told by manufacturers. The EU directive only requires manufacturers to offer their product without a charger as a variant. But the manufacturers are lazy and greedy, they don't want to do both variants, so they mostly decide not to put the charger in the box. That's how they earn extra money. If they're not already putting a charger in the box, they should at least lower the price for the value of that charger, right?
What bothers me is that the prices are extremely different from market to market (with European prices always being the highest) and this cannot be justified by any special additional costs or business policies, at least not to that extent. It is not normal for prices to differ so much. Many manufacturers do this. For example, the OnePlus 13 (512GB) costs $999.99 in the US and €1,199 (without charger) in Europe. Why? Such a business policy is completely reckless, because in this way the prices of Chinese mobile phones are slowly becoming uncompetitive compared to the already favored products of the competition. In this way, Xiaomi and OnePlus phones are in some cases (especially flagships) even more expensive than Samsung phones of the same range. How they intend to conquer the European market with such a price policy is a mystery.
This is not only the case with Xiaomi and other Chinese companies. The new iPhone 16e (256GB) is sold in the US for $699, and in Europe for €859 to €899, depending on the country.
Do manufacturers think that users in Europe will not notice that they are being sold products at significantly higher prices, and sometimes with weakened characteristics, than in other markets?
I leave the stories about which brand is better, who makes the best cameras, etc. etc. to the experts. I see that there are a lot of them here. I wanted to highlight very strange business policies (which Xiaomi, as we see, has succumbed to), which are fundamentally unfair to end users. The huge price differences and the degradation of certain elements of the device (especially the battery; Honor also recently did this drastically with the Magic7 Pro model) can hardly be justified by anything.
This time Xiaomi has opted for both: a smaller battery at almost double the price. In fact, the 512GB version is more expensive in Europe than the 1TB version in China by as much as €500! What were they thinking?! As a long-time user of a Xiaomi phone (the beautiful 9T), I can only say: I've had enough. Go home Xiaomi. And so the answer to the question in the title is: No, it's not worth it. At least not if you live in Europe.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2025Bet global ain't getting that 6k mah, probably like 5.... moreMost likely. Just like last year where the 14 Ultra got a 5000 mAh Global while the Chinese model got 5.300 mAh.
Same goes with Vivo X200 series and Honor Magic 7 series this year.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2025Bet global ain't getting that 6k mah, probably like 5.... moreYeah unfortunately it's not. Global I think has been confirmed at 5450mAh, which is better than what most people expected (5100mAh). But still it's not Li-Po IIRC and the charging was slower. Same thing happened to the last model. China gotta pay those EU "bribes" and "certifications" to use the same hardware as they can in China. Gotta pay the "EU woke TAX". 🙄

I will never buy an "Ultra" phone with a tiny 6.7" screen. The minimum accepted size is 6.9" like the iPhone Pro Max and Galaxy Ultra.

There needs to be a truly competent software for Android that allows us to create panramas with smartphone Ultrawide lenses. BUT there is not one Android smartphone I know of that incorporates this ability to create Ultrawide panoramas at all, so it needs must be an iPhone then, as my lovely excruciatingly good Xiaomi Note 10 Pro is utterly useless for this my main purpose for owning it!
