This is what we call gaming phone. Definition of gaming phone is here. Not basic phone like Razer phone that claimed as gaming phone. Why not you call OP 5t as gaming phone too, same cpu, sam amount of ram.

As it goes for PCs, a good gpu, adequate cpu, and gaming peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset) equal a gaming PC. But when you've got a phone with specs that are similar to 90% of the competition, then the lines get blurred. The dedicated gaming pad is what should make the black shark a gaming phone, not the mainstream hardware. I've had some long gaming sessions on my Mate 10 pro and if I call it a gaming phone I wouldn't be wrong, because it is able to game for hours on a beautiful OLED display. I'm not bashin Xiaomi, just don't like it when companies try to sell me a regular phone as something more. If the new mi device has the same specs at a "xiaomi price", it will be a great phone to get.

Wha... moreAs far as I understand... it has a unique 5-7 layer liquid cooling system... something that other 845 powered phones don't have. 120Hz screen (A-la Razer style), dedicated gaming mode, which simply squeezes all the available power for the game. (I got one to my office to learn if the coding is different comparing to standard phones or not. I got a message from my manager. Seeing it today) and lastly a powerful DAC. (Unknown bitrate and frequency)

I faill to see the difference compared to other phones. What exactly makes this phone a "gaming phone"? I don't think a "cool" design makes it a gaming phone.

Regarding of comments who dislikes the absent of microSD expansion options, the Black Shark might use the UFS flash storage instead of eMMC. UFS tech is faster than eMMC, and use of microSD card will bottleneck the UFS speed. Reviewers would like to see which tech Xiaomi used for the Black Shark storage.
Although I didn't really agree with the term of 'gaming' phone, I'm sure the Black Shark will be able to handle tasks and games in flying colors with its low-res Full HD 18:9 and SDM845 on its heart, with the price of popular brand upper-midrangers

Xiaomi built great phone but small mistakes that make audience hate xiaomi and go with other phone . Like no 3.5mm jack it is deal breaker thing for most of the audience out there . If it is a gaming phone than why no 120hz no they should have gone with other display with 120hz refresing rate . Last but main factor is why blackshark why not mi in a brand conscious market it is hard to explain it is not any local low grade brand but one of the reputed brand product in the market . Everything else is perfect but no headphone jack may affaect most of thebpeople out their in India from buying this cheap razer phone
