still keep Mi 9.
This phone is a brick (208g / 9mm). I can't remember such thick phone for a long time.
Add 360hour unlock period into insults, and it's a pass for me. This phone needs rooting, not just to improve security, but to get rid of the MIUI, the worst OS facade ever and their usual spyware and ads. After 360hours of waiting with phone unused, you then have to wait for a working AOSP ROM, and as a contributor i can tell this takes another 3 months.

Roni, 28 Feb 2020Actually 256 GB isn't so much, considering it has 8K video ... moreIdk what bitrate you film at but if you're filling 256 gigs in 85 minutes its WAY too high.

Roni, 28 Feb 2020Actually 256 GB isn't so much, considering it has 8K video ... moreMan i understand but setting it to 4K the battery consumption will be huge.
Phone dont have that much battery to make such big 4K video.
Unless you record it with powerbank docked in charging port.
But still to me 256GB is more than enough.
On a 6 inch screen the 4k video makes no sense it will looks alike like 2k or 1024p video no difference at all unless you use big TV 50 inch or something like that to preview it.
My moto X4 have 64GB disk space and i have like 25% free after 2 years of use.

Nuno, 28 Feb 2020Yup, unfortunately thats a problem with all recently releas... moreChinese phone-makers make 5G phones for the markets they intend to sell to. Why would Chinese phone-makers make 5G phones supporting mmWave? No markets targeted by Chinese phone-makers are using mmWave or plan to use mmWave. At this point, mmWave plays no role in driving the 5G market.

Nuno, 28 Feb 2020Yup, unfortunately thats a problem with all recently releas... moreSimply not true, all 865 chip phones support all types of 5G networks, it's only the 765 chip which doesn't....
Also, why does mmwaves matter right now? Those are shit at the moment, and no country on earth is covered by it.... if lucky you can find a square or two on your whole country, where there is mmwaves in a small radius.
You clearly rant over shit you don't even understand.

AnonD-731363, 26 Feb 2020It have stereo. SD card is uselless 256 or 512GB is far m... moreActually 256 GB isn't so much, considering it has 8K video recorder etc. It literally takes only 85 minutes of 4K@30fps video to fill it, and one would probably have less space available and 60 fps video. So, half an hour of video. Unless it gets encoded to some smaller size files, but that wouldn't be of so good quality probably, great quality HEVC 10-bit encoding takes time.

People rant about SD card not being available. I really know its important to many folks. but i am not a fan of SD cards. I used to be a huge fan in tye past but i realised over time that it will cost you more koney in the long run. So i don't even look at that anymore

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2020Yep. The Mi Note 10 has not see a security update since Dec... moreWhat you need to understand is there are 2 ways to update your phone. Either beta rom or stable. Stable ROMs are updated either 1 or 2 months and beta rom are also weekly and also have advantages of receiving new features and security updates. Also new phones take time before it receives updates. So check at the forum and see if there is update for your phone and update it

Me, 26 Feb 2020What do you recieve as being a fanboy? Do companies pay you... moreThose who are shouting are children and will continue to be children in tech. This is why xiaomi allow users to unlock their phones and do whatever they want with it. If you can't stay with miui it's better you install custom rom or sell your phone and buy another phone from other brands. My mi 9 is stable even on beta rom with February security patch. You too don't spread information you don't know. Xiaomi is doing good when it comes to software update than any other company

The latest is indeed December 2019 on my Samsung note 8. For new model and OS probably there is new version but if samsung can leave their phone at such patch version, I do not see why Xiaomi is at fault at doing so.
