Best to buy chienese version and flash global rom. I have 12gb/256 special edition from China and flashed global version 4 months ago. I can easily say it's the best phone I have had. No hardware issues so far.

    When I was buying this phone in Germany month ago, man said that this version of phone has no heating problem, just pro version or ultra idk. Anyway, I didn't experienced any issues, I played also PUBG on max and Asphalt on max and its normal warm after some time, like in every phone I had till now.

        Fyi, the issue is hardware-related not software-related. Perhaps you're one of the lucky ones but why would Xiaomi offer return/replacement in China if its not a known issue? They have the same hardware period and buying phones with China ROM has its cons like lack of local warranty and some issues with selected apps like banking apps. Maybe its just a matter of time before that WiFi chip gets fried. It's really a gamble that not too many people may be willing to risk.

Here in the Philippines the best they could offer is motherboard replacement only which would take at least three weeks for the service center to order the motherboard from China and replace the board. That's why I disposed of my Mi11 after just six weeks of use. I have seen people selling their Mi11 in FB Marketplace for such a low price already lolz

Not quite fond on the UI, they should improve more (LG and OnePlus is the one I like the most). Until a week ago, my wifi stop functioning. Gave it to service center, and within one day, they offered for REFUND. I took it and looking for another more stable phone.

                  Excellent all round, takes a long time customising but worth effort. Battery drain is typical of phones with 120HZ and QHD, end up with 20% at end of day with normal use. Though wired charger full to 100% in around half hour. Few MIUI sillyness but not enough to bother. Camera not as great as the adverts but says same shooter as Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra? but decent enough. This is 8GB and is mroe than enough - No one needs 12GB in a phone even if you are hardcore gaming. For the price less than £600 - oh my word, you'll quickly forget these small gripes! Phenomenal bargain.

I don't have issue because i don't play heavy games. Maybe people complain about heating problem because reviews always play genshing impact. So for normal user this is al good phone.

                            I am changing my review on this phone. Seems like miui updates to global 12.7 has fixed most of if not all issues. Solid phone after the latest update. Battery could be a little better but overall I am enjoying this phone now.

What's worse is Xiaomi provides additional support for units in China only which means if you be get the Global version you might have warranty claim issues with your phone. Xiaomi should have made a Global recall of Mi11s coz the fried WiFi module is a serious matter. Repaired units via motherboard replacement makes no guarantees that the fried WiFi chip would never happen again.
