Looks good to me. I think they're saving the Telephoto lens for the Pro/Ultra models.

Way too big and awkward fingerprint scanner. My best ever phone is still the Pocophone F1, perfect size and excellent rear fingerprint scanner. I have owned about a dozen Xiaomi phones over the past 7 years but all the recent ones are too big and have awkward fingerprint scanners. I tried the Redmi Note 9 Pro - also too big and too heavy but I wanted to try the side mounted scanner. I found it marginally easier to use than underdisplay scanners but not as user-friendly as the rear ones, hence why I am using my first Pixel phone - the 4a 5g - nice size and great rear scanner.

But, as the same guy who wrote essays about the tele's importance down below, I think I didn't state it well enough. If I had the option to, I'd forget the tele for this phone.
WQHD 120hz 10-bit HDR10+ screen? Oh yea! I'd happily take this phone, with or without the tele lens!

I am a full XIAOMI fan.
So all my whole family uses XIAOMI phones.
And wihether this Mi 11 has got TELEPHOTO or NOT, IP68 / 53 or neither, man I'm buying to get one of it.
Sadly I don't have what it takes to buy one 🤣🤣🤣 lolz

Best screen ever, 4600 man, fastest touch rate ever, great engineering and everyone's complaining about a telephoto as if the iPhone 12 which is by all means a flagship doesn't lack same telephoto

But I do agree with someone else below who said there are other phones which can fulfill my optical needs, so I'll leave it at that. The general buying population doesn't really need telephotos, they barely use zoom at all.
Back to 108MP cameras. The sensor isn't a true 108MP sensor, it's meant to work as a Bayer sensor for pixel binning. So the true amount of detail it captures will amount to around 30-40MP maybe? Plus, when used in 108MP/ telephoto mode, the individual pixels would be very small, thus high ISO performance will suffer tremendously. Basically, anything taken in medium to low light (even a cloudy afternoon) will yield very noisy photos.
The S20 and S20+ are different. Their 64MP was meant to be a telephoto replacement, so Samsung optimised it for sensor cropping. I don't expect this main sensor to receive the same treatment, especially after the Mi 10T Pro, where the zoom didn't really impress.

But guess what, it's not the only device so if this doesn't intrigue you there are lots more to look at.
