Telephotos aren't just "zoom" lenses, they actually serve more purposes. Providing a more accurate, less distorted view around 50-85mm, and filling up the frame with your subject instead of awkward, 1x zoom photos of stuff that looks super unprofessional.

Lack of a telephoto camera is really disappointing for a 2021 flagship. Xiaomi should have also added IP68.

Talking about group shots? Just bring the main cam with 24mm, you don't need a 13mm lens any more that produces distorted images, and none of the ultrawide lenses in the market are good enough to capture even average images except the Mighty Mate 40 Pro and you really don't need a wider lens than 18mm practically! MAcro!!! who cares, but you!!! and telephoto lenses are important, iPhone 12 Pro Max has it, and the regular iPhone 12 missed it cause it's a premium thing, I hope you understand.

If now potrait shoot just use AI even iPhone is using AI rather than built more camera, people will consider using Ultra Wide for group shot rather than Tele that rarely to use, Macro considered that people always shoot in very short range that regular camera can't shoot very short distance due to range limitation, i don't know what the purpose of Tele Lens in daily using? For privacy violation? Spying people in long distance?

the final price for change the display will be lesser than a phone that have in-display fingerprint + no issue at all even if u put screen protector for the display.
most of the time they have issue even when u don't use any screen protector.

& u can find alot of issue in indisplay fingerprint phones like MI A3(cc9e), some of them, they have moderate error & others, less
but zero issue in Rear fingerprint & Aside-mounted
