They'll unlock bootloader for you and ship with EU ROM if you need it. But this will cost 12 extra days as one has to wait for bootloader unlock.
CHINA Firmware = Saftynet Passed + OTA Updates + Widevine Level 1
XIAOMI.EU TWRP Firmware (bootloader unlocked) = Saftynet Passed + OTA Updates + Widevine Level 1
GLOBAL Firmware (bootloader unlocked) = Saftynet Failed + OTA Updates + Widevine Level 1

It's a shame that possibly one of the best phones won't come outside China. I hope they will release it when the samsung s21 fe and the oneplus 8t get launched but it's unlikely. Still a great phone though.
