This mobile is not reliable, I used it for hardly 1 month, its battery failed. Service centers are not plently available, in India.

I've been using this phone without problems since 2014, and i already bought it then second hand! Photos quality is simply unbeatable. Honestly, i've had many phones but this one ahs really good photos and build quality. Only BIG disadvantage is 16gb storage :(

Mi 3 is in MIUI 5, and planned to upgrade it to MIUI 7, now it is updated.
the problem i am encountering now are..
First, in FB, when you go to profile on one person, the fb messenger should appear when you click the message, now i need to go to FB MESSENGER just to message the person.
Second, they were changes in Google Photos, i am using the Google Photos also for editing pictures, now the set up and format changed and when saving the pictures i edit. before it will save a different file, and keep the original, now it will overlap the original. i went back using the PicsArt as my picture editor.

Xiaomi is the worst option to buy as I bought mi 4i in Sept, 15 and in march, 16 the Mic of my phone stopped working. Since then I am contacting mi service to repair my phone as it is still in warranty period but to no avail as they are not repairing it. I hv opted for their pick mi service twice but both the times they returned the same damaged device. I asked them to refund my loss or replace my phone but they just refused to do it. I suggest all not to buy from xiaomi as they don't resolve your problem but actually exaggerate it. They dnt even have their service center in main cities but in a very few cities in all over India. I encourage all to buy some other company phones but never try xiaomi. Now m going to raise this issue in consumer court as Xiaomi service is totally harrasing.

via computer you will have to download mi pc flash setup install and download update package for your handset avail on website only on en.miui.com flash it and enjoy any version of android and miui

help me I just brought this phone this year but sadly it is still outdated jellybean I expect their will be OTA update or some sort... its disssapointing. still old miui 5. when I tap update button " unfortunately setting have stopped"

Never buy MI phone. Their service is very poor. NO response from service center even after lot of follow up and visit. Their call center response is very poor. This is my personal experience.
Almost 30 days past where my MI 4 had booting issue and fortunately its under warranty. Phone sent to service center but no update from service center since past 30 days. I am stuck. Very poor service from MI service center.

it does not support 3g internet only 2g internet can be used, only single sim not dual sim and it does not have option of placing external memory card. really bad phone.
