pkm, 02 Aug 2014does this mi3 support hindi language? It can read Hindi messages but not sure if we can type in Hindi. As I prefer to use English lang for typing.

Hello Guys........I got my Mi3 on 31st.
Did a lot of research and then decided to go for Mi3.
GSMArena is a great forum where we get very good info.
I have been using this phone since last 4 days and I am here to share my views :)
Buying experience from Flipkart :
10/10.
Many guys have been cursing Flipkart for not getting phone even after registering. But I feel its Xiaomi to blame and not FLipkart. On 29th, after clicking buy button within 2-3 secs, they assured one phone for me. Once online traffic reduced I completed payment procedures (around 2.20 pm). Then by 31st they delivered the phone to me.
Unboxing Mi3 :
The box is sturdy and made up of good quality paper. Alongwith handset it encloses charger, set-up guide, warranty details and a pin for opening SIM tray. The USB cable length is long enough for using conviniently. FOr warranty purpose we need to keep the box as well.
Getting started with Phone :
6/10.
The phone looks gorgeous and premium. Its build quality is very good. Perfect Ergonomics.....power switch at right side so that you can lock/unlock easily with one hand. Curved sides offer better grip an its not slippery.
However when I tried to open the SIM tray with the pin provided, it took me some time. By default we will not apply much force for doing anything on this precious phone. However you really need to push hard for opening that tray.
Now the next thing I was asked to do is sign-in with google account. However it failed because of errors in net connection. After some time finally I could register and started navigating.
Again it took me by surprise because no. of times it failed to connect to Google play and other sites (even in Performance mode). Just to check, I removed my SIM and inserted in my earlier phone and it worked well. No timed out connections.
Now I am trying to upgrade MiUI OS and hope to improve connectivity.
Display :
10/10
Its very crisp and clear. Photos, videos, text all are very clear. Touch feel is very good and I felt it slightly better than Moto-G, Nexus-5. Front Screen to display ratio is big which makes this phone taller but its because bigger battery and full size SIM card, so its OK for me.
SAR Value : 1.1 W/Kg (Max)
Many of us would be interested in knowing this.
In fact I would have loved it more had it been with SAR value below 1.0. Hence badly missing the earphone with this handset. Planning to buy one. Your suggestions welcomed.
Camera :
8.5/10
As you must have seen in many reviews, outdoor photos are very good but low light photos come with some noise. They are not as clear as Nexus-5. Camera comes with some cool features. One example that it asks you whether you would like to close the current setting and back to default one. It is useful when we use panoramic or any other such special mode/setting for taking single photo.
Sound Quality :
8/10
Speaker quality is good. However I have not checked the earphone quality since I dont have any earphone :(.
Voice clarity is good during call. Audio is OK and not the Best.
OS :
10/10
I liked the MiUI. Its really simple and easy to use.
Useful features such that when connected to PC, you can use computer's net connection just by a simple switch. You can even have a status bar showing net speed (mine is very slow :(). It won't disturb your current task if you receive a call. the incoming call will be highlighted in status bar above. Customization of notification LED. And lot of other such small small useful features.
Battery Life :
9/10
Charges to full from 20% to 100% in 2-2 1/2 hours.
For a moderate use it gives easily more than 24 hours. You get three modes for optimization. But I am using Performance mode only.
RAM :
I have installed 7-8 more apps other than those default and sync with social accounts always ON and it shows 80-85% RAM usage. So around 400-500 MB is free. So you need to keep on cleaning up cache.
Overall if you ask my opinion I would rate it 6.5/10 because my major requirement was performance which this phone lacks. Maybe with some s/w updates it will improve but till then it is a concern for me.
If phone looks, display, camera are more important for you then this phone is great.

I ordered for one of my friend and got to know that only 800 MB ram is available out of 2GB. Please advise if the remaining 800MB wud be able to handle to handle all apps and high end games.also the ringtone rings after 3-4 seconds which seem to be a problem to be. if someone gives miss call to you then wont get to know :P

have any one of u noticed that the right bottom and left bottom corners has low touch sensitivity as compared to other areas of the screen.. i noticed it while typing, the backspace key , then i came back to the home screen and tried to open up the messaging app located in the right bottom corner and noticed it again.. same experience with the phone app which is located in the left bottom corner.anybody facing the same problem?
