It all depends on what frequency bands your carriers use where you live, comment back in reply to my reply with bands commonly used there and I'll let you know the likelihood of being able to use the phone there. Most commonly you'll want the WCDMA version.

Pretty good cellphone, but obviously XiaoMi did not have much experience with metal frame.
Ex.The GPS function is so weak that it can't locate itself unless assisted by cellular data or wifi(A-GPS).
