This what Xiaomi delivers after testing the patience of Indian consumers with the hype called flash sales. They are building strategy to create a brand name and I feel the same will sink with the bad products. I received a RN3 - 32 today and its ledt side metal body lip is cut. Asked for replacement immediately and Amazon India is amazing- unlike Xiaomi.

I've never seen a flagship model that is so buggy, and to solve it many users are asked to experiment with manually flashing different kind of ROMs to solve a specific issue....not for faint-hearted users. Even then, 1 problem solved, another problem arises. ....a never ending troubleshooting that waste so much time just to get it working.
So many reported bugs everywhere based on what I read.
Basically you pay half the price for a half-working product out of the box.
That's why I finally changed my decision even after waiting for such a long time for the launch (since May 2015 to be exact). Learn from Samsung, users are practically do nothing out of the box. Even if there are some bugs, they are usually minor ones that are automatically solved by automatic update without user having to get a major headache.
Compare to Mi5, where many users couldn't receive calls when the phone sleeps.
What is the use of a phone when you can't even receive calls when the phone sleep ?
That is totally fatal bug

mad, 06 May 2016hearing lots about Airtel 4g connectivity and battery life ... moreYes, there is an issue with battery life when using airtel 4g. It lasts for 12 hours max. Otherwise the phone is really good buy for the price. Also, quick charge is a big plus.

Dont buy this phone..I took this ohone on april 12th 2016. from day1 we faced the problem of voice breaking. but I thought it is a problem wit the service provider. Yesterday I tried with another micro sim, thr also I was crossing the same issue.
Then we found "WATEVER HANDSET WE BOUGHT IS HAVING A MANUFACTURING DEFECT"
I caaled the customer care executive for REPLACEMENT but then they are telling we cant replace after 10days from the delivery date
IF A PRODUCT IS GENUINE IT SHOULD HAVE ATLEAST 1 MONTH REPLACEMET WARRANTY - MI 5 Is such a worst phone company which is not understanding its customer and not even valuing the money they paid.
My 25k is ultimately went waste

I bought this phone and what can I say. MI5 is a great built quality phone - but there is no global ROM released yet (only a buggy leak). So you must use Chinese ROM without Google Play Services. OK there are people trying to install it themselves, but I am not really comfortable with installing weird chinese .apk's to get a Google play working. Believe me those apps looks like malware.
Another thing is you can't easily switch from CHINESE rom to global ROM, you need to unlock bootloader, and it's a not a simple procedure - you need to fill application on xiaomi page and wait almost 20 days to get approved. I didn't get mine.
Another thing about mi5 is lack of Band 20. It means you can't get 4G working in most of European countries. And believe me it's true - I am getting only 3G, while my old samsung S5 didn't had any problem with 4G.
I will not speak about the camera quality but I will tell you - it sucks. I don't know if it's a software issue, but video of mi5 is almost unusable because of many many compression artifacts. You can read about it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compression_artifact
So in my opinion you should by Mi5 only if you live in China mainland, otherwise you will get disappointed.

The phone is awesome, some people have commented that it has low storage, xiomi itself says that 25GB will be for use and its 25GB, if you feel its low then don't buy. The phone doesn't hang at all. Camera clicks beautiful pictures with front and rear. The only issue is with heating, not always but while charging and while accessing some apps, and the battery temperature rises to 42 or 43 degrees and it really feels too much when you place it on cheek while talking.
Otherwise phone is best.

It is never meant to be available globally in mass quantity. It only has a mission to create an international buzz & propaganda to Xiaomi's name, but may not be available for everyone to buy. That's why 3 months after its launch, you hardly see it available everywhere. Only 2000 units of "special edition" sold so far in China. There is still no official announcement when they're going start to sell it again until now. In fact, they start selling what the call "Mi 5 Pro GLASS edition". Lenovo actually followed Xiaomi's strategy by introducing limited edition of "ZUK2 PRO", but at least they honestly say that the availability is limited only for the China market. Anybody could argue with me, but we will see if my theory is right.

1 month review of Xiaomi-Mi5: Already posted 2 review- 1 week and 2 weeks.

Excellent screen and looks.
Excellent Finger print scanner and sunlight legibility .
Near Zero lags. (None )
Battery life above average.
Heating- Yes while gaming but not a deal breaker.

Last 2 weeks faced major issues of Network lost in SIM-1 and even SIM-2. You don't realise when this happens. Saw these comments on FB/Utube as well. This is a serious issue because you have to go to Airplane mode and come back.
Poor speaker.
Once a day. Erratic touch response, you press in one area and other area responds. Thankfully all ok after restart.
Some apps (Can Knock down) don't open and crash on click. (Work well in offline mode).
Now i suggest wait for MIUI8 update on 10/5 to buy. Please hold on every week issues increasing in this phone.
