Truly high class spec phone but the price still considerably. Amazing battery, no heat effect, even that playing hard games, charge with QC 3.0, etc. The problem is in software, if the ROM is Global, it's a incredible phone, Similar with S7, only the material and software development is a different between. Overall great.. my personally value is 8.7/10.

1) why asking to unlock pattern/ pin when fingerprint scanner is there ?
2) why so slow in updating ?? taking more than 1 hour
3) can't sync with my mi4i phone n transfer all data ? process stopped in between after that no bar code showing only showing 0% n please wait .
4) I did mistake buying Mi5 ? I was so excited as it is recommended by my son .

rish, 16 Jan 2015everything is good in xiaomi mobile but is it durable??Got mi5 and within a few days, problem with on off button. Got it changed 1 to 1 and 2nd set was worst. Screen hangs and same button issue. Dropped by repair centre and they did a factory reset and was asked to monitor. No use... didn't solve the issue. What bad product have I got for myself. Now have to be busy going to service centre for changing the motherboard.

k, 13 Sep 2016You are definitely charging it at the same time.Do not char... moreWhat phone can't be used for listening to music while charging? Listening to music isn't heavy task, unlike gaming or video streaming. Normal phone shouldn't be heated up just for music during charging.
We just have to admit that many (if not all) xiaomi phones do heat more than big-name brand like Samsung etc.
'Cos I have both Samsung n xiaomi, I compare the temperature. My Samsung normal usage is always around 32-35C, while the hottest only ever reached 40C. My Xiaomi normal usage is 38-42C, while the hottest reached 45-46C. I can feel the heat, not that comfortable but bearable if u're patient and/or use thick case to block the heat reaching your hand (useless for long calling, the ear still feels hot). I find the heat n many other lil' factors big downside for Xiaomi, thus not recommending all Xiaomi phones to long-time users of big-name brand n ungeek users.

The charging USB-C connector for me is a let down probably enough to make me think twice. Not to mention, its not common in the market (more expensive too) and you would end up having multiple cables whenever and wherever you go. In my opinion it was a BAD CHOICE.

k, 13 Sep 2016All phones have this problem,except maybe Nokia 1100One Plus 3,ipone,Samsung galaxy S7,Moto Z Force,Moto G 4 Plus and some more other Smartphone will not bend.But all Xiaomi devices bend easily over the bending test.But it doesn't mean that it's a bad one Nexus 6P also bend Mi5 is a very good smartphone performing brilliantly in actual world of performance.Buy it it's one of the best value for the money package.

i have this phone for a few weeks now, and the first day i used it i drop it on the cement, and only a few knicks on the aluminum, the glass front and back is fine, phone is fast and battery last way longer than any iphone or samsung, i am very happy with the MI5, espcially since its half the price of a samsung S7 or iphone 6s

Just bought the phone and found that it has defect. Auto off and auto shut down by itself! Please check your phone properly before purchase!!!
Speed and camera excellent but the defect is giving me problems. I have to send to repair centre and without phone for weeks!
