I bought Mi 6 through Ali Express, the phone came with global rom (as there was gplay installed in it i suppose) For the first few days the performance was very good and better than oneplus One (my previous phone) but in a weeks time i started to have issues like battery drain in half day and software issues wifi not connecting automatically or wifi not working completely. mobile data is getting too slow from time to time. Phone getting over heated in many occasions in normal use. I feel like Oneplus is far better option for anyone who is looking to buy new phone.

just ordered one,435$ on Aliexpress.Probably the best buy right now,and it comes with official global Rom,multi languages,all Google apps in it and Ota updates..The only downside- no blue one in stock currently :(,same money as 1+3T but mi6 is better,i recon

I have used le eco and le 2 I have used redmi too this is my redmi 3rd phone note 4 is 4 gb ram and 64 gb inbuilt I was nt getting the phone frm filpcart nor Mi store thn I bought it frm grey market so the best is redmi full marks to red Mi their R&D is superb Osam and mindbogling

What about battery capacity ? is 3350 mAh enough for a day long for full day use?
I guess battery is insufficient as it has 6 GB of ram which should require more battery.

People actually refuse to believe that some of the shots I post on my instagram are with my phone. Its just that I have been using cameras (a 12Mpix handheld compact from sony, don't rember the model) since I was 13 and editing them since 17 (you could call it a serious hobby). The editing software also matters. I mostly use adobe lightroom and a little bit of Pixlr express in some pictures for a bit of artistic effect. The filter based apps that the playstore is filled with won't do any good.

The Mi6 camera actually does better than the MiMix camera. NOT as good as my S8 Plus but it is good enough. And i have seen a few people in instagram who take pictures with their Mi6 and MiMix and i wonder how the hell they take pictures xD i mean when i look at the photos i dont even think my S8 Plus can do it.
Maybe they use Pro Mode.

In Indonesia they have 2 versions. 64GB internal with Glass Back in Black Colour. The Ceramic version only has the 128GB version.
So 64GB is definitely Glass.
But 128GB has Glass and Ceramic.

Honor 8 pros:
-3.5mm jack
-sd card slot (doubles as 2nd sim slot)
-the cool fingerprint scanner that doubles as a clickable button
-more LTE bands (Mi6 lacks Band 20 which is used by many European countries)
-official Rom for most parts of the world
-availability in most markets of the world
Mi 6 pros:
-insanely better hardware specs (sd 835 vs kirin 950, 6gb ram vs 4 gb ram, Adreno 540 vs Mali-T880)
-better camera
-a bit better display
-slightly better battery endurance
-splash resistance
-a bit better audio quality
General thoughts:
The Rom issue is big for Mi6. Currently there is no official global Rom. The custom Rom's are not trustworthy (they might slow down your phone). The solutions for this are two: Buy a phone with the Chinese Rom (English or Chinese only, some chinese apps, you have to manually install play store) or wait until a global Rom is launched. The other factor is availability and pricing. Mi6 prices will vary (the most cheap option is an online 3rd party retailer). However, if these issues can be resolved Mi6 is far superior at raw power and will give you a better gaming experience. Honor 8 isn't a bad choice but it is just average. I would consider it only if it is has a bargain price tag.

If you have your hands-free connected with the adapter (all the time) headphone jack is not an issue (the only thing you can't do is listen to music while charging your phone which is also not recommended doing so in general). SD card I agree it is a bummer but it is Xiaomi's policy so...you know it will be this way long before (anyone can predict mi 7 not having an sd card slot as well). So your basic arguments are kind of weak :/ . As long as the battery is concerned it is average. 4000 is too big for this phone (in order for a batter like this to fit in the phone would have been "thick")... I would like 3500-3600 but still I consider it reasonable. The endurance test from gsmarena shows good results (slightly better than the well-known flagships). To conclude, your points are not the most accurate. To my mind the lack of Band 20 (for Europe), no official global rom, limited availability and import taxes are the core problems right now. A few months patience and the online 3rd party retailers might lead to a good purchase (price+rom).

Not having micro sd memory card for storage expansion, and no 3.5mm headphone jack are the 2 biggest reasons why I hate this phone. The memory card problem can be solved by getting the 128gb version but no headphone jack ?? come on, it's really stupid not to have that. Not even the 835 processor can help.
Also, what's the point having SD835 with 10nm tech and all the bells and whistles for reducing power consumption, but having only 3350 mah. Come on, at least it should have 4000 mah, so it could last all day long. A test video on utub shows it can last 7h35m for gaming, with 4000 mah it's about +19% = 9 hours, this should be much better considering battery life will drop over time.
A could-be-great phone but stupid decision to remove the basics a phone should have really cripples it.
