Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S receive Mi Mix 3's Night Scene camera mode

Just two weeks ago the Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 was announced and the company's co-founder, Lei Jun, promised to deliver the phone's excellent camera software to its other two flagship phones - the Mi Mix 2S and the Mi 8 since they all rely on the same dual-camera setup.

The feature comes in the form of a MIUI 8.11.8 closed beta in China, which means that international rollout of the stable ROM is imminent. That's, of course, if no major issues arise.

The only difference between the older Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S, and the new Mi Mix 3 is the camera software. It makes all the difference when taking low-light stills and Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S owners will surely benefit from the camera mode.

Aside from the night mode camera enhancement, the patch contains some minor bug fixes and turns off the portable hotspot function after saving a new password.

or Mi Note 3, but I won't hope so much, considering GCam with Night Sight is also available as (better?) replacement.

The former is available in Mix 3, no idea whether they will be backported to Mix 2S and 8 series or not. For the latter (in 720fps, though), I assume Mix 3 doesn't have embedded memory in the sensor (which some vendor uses to implement the 960fps), b...
