disappointing, 10 Jun 2018This. I wanted the Mi8 to have 3 things. Slim bezels (no no... more You should not complain about something you haven't witnessed or used. My redmi 4x has a 4000mah battery, 5 inch screen,the processor is built on 28nm process, it lasts for a long long time before i charge it. now i might be wrong but this mi8 explorer edition is built on a 10nm process with amoled display which means that the endurance should be close to my redmi 4x. I really don't see much reason to complain about this device except for almost no customer service center in places outside Asia.

if this is supposed to be a better version than mi8, then xiaomi is so fookinstupit. they always do something stupid with their phone. they made effort putting the fingerprint scanner under screen but reduce battery capacity, wtf xiaomi ! for once in your life, if a product is supposed to be a better version, make it proper, don't downgrade anything. eff you !

Get FM radio back, and SD card.
Also improve battery life and make it more rugged with steel frame

Mi 6, 05 Jun 20183000 mAh battery for 6.21 inch display , Why??? Mi 8 has 3... morepretty sure they go the "lenovo"-way. Optimizing software to reduce hardware (and costs!). Sadly those software tweaks work for everyday tasks but not when playing games, watching videos and other intensive stuff. I use a mi mix 2 as a daily driver which has 3400mAh, before I used the mi mix 1 which had 4000mAh...guess what - the smaller battery lasts still 2,5 days, but only when not playing...the mi mix 1 would still be my choice when it comes to battery life. If just the average user would not buy into this new system of less hardware, more software.

Ridiculously small battery.
Compared with OnePlus 6, XiaoMi 8 has no point to stand.
I would rather buy SHARP AQUOS S3, they are all the same - Chinese brands.
