Please guys I need an answer. Does this phone has better camera than Huawei Nova 5T? That's the only doubt I have in choosing one of these two phones.

how to remove camera shortcuts on lockscreen,it often open camera when i keep my phone in pocket which heavy draining the batery

Jay-R, 21 Feb 2020I'm planning to switch from my OnePlus 6T to this Xiaomi Mi... moreI own a Xiaomi MI 9 and used a OnePlus 6T before that. Can safely say you should go for the Xiaomi MI 9.

          Reasons:
Display - Both are 1080p Super Amoled, but MI 9 supports HDR10.

Software & Updates - Oxygen OS is much cleaner but MIUI has become way more polished since MIUI 11. It is also fast with updates too. In fact, MI 9 is one of the first few phones to receive Android 10. Xiaomi and OnePlus both supports their phones q a long time so no need to worry about updates.
(Ads on MIUI can be turned off from each apps' settings and take only 30s to 1min.)

Speed - MI 9 wins. No contest here. Mi 9 is a 2019 flagship phone that uses Snapdragon 855 while OnePlus 6T is a 2018 flagship phone that uses Snapdragon 845. This phone won't lag in any apps and has shown no sign of slowing down since the 8 months I owned it. It's speed is only surpassed by the recent S20 and MI 10.

Camera - MI 9 wins. MI 9 main camera has the 48MP Sony IMX586 Camera Sensor, with
a closed loop motor to replace the OIS. MI 9 also have a 2x telephoto zoom camera and an ultrawide camera, both of which the OnePlus 6T lacks. GCam can also be installed on MI 9 if you don't like the MIUI camera software. Check dxomark.com for MI 9, OnePlus 6T and other phone camera rankings.

IR port - MI 9 has an IR Port (Infrared Port) that allows it to control house appliances (projector, air conditioning,TV)

Fingerprint Sensor - Both uses Under Display Optical Fingerprint Sensor but OnePlus 6T is a 1st gen, while MI 9 uses a 5th gen one.

Charging - both have quick charge, Mi 9 up to 27W, OnePlus 6T up to 20W.

Battery - MIUI has very good battery optimization, even better than Oxygen OS's. GSMArena's battery tests also show MI 9 has a battery endurance of 95h compared to 90h on OnePlus 6T. I can easily last 5-6h of SOT (screen time) on normal usage.

I am honestly not satisfied with the phone.
For me the battery is bad as my phone is a few months old and I don't get trough one full day without charging it.

Also the phone itself reset twice in the few months I have it.
Options and possibilities are often frustrating me.

I'm not sure if my previous phone "OnePlus 2" just set so high expectations but it was better and cheaper and I bought it 4 years ago. The only reason I changed is was physical damage to the phone and I felt after 3,5 years I should buy a new phone.

I would highly recommend people not to buy the MI 9.

Cm, 09 Feb 2020Mi 9 or mi 8Mi 9 all day. I used mi 8 for about a week and changed it for mi 9 because I first wanted something cheaper, although performance was good but the notch was terrible so I had to change it to mi 9 with a decent notch and am glad I did that. Great performance, battery is good, best camera and light weight with great display

I'm planning to switch from my OnePlus 6T to this Xiaomi Mi9, especially for the wide angle camera.
How about the battery life? With my 6T I'm getting 6/7 hrs SoT with a heavy usage (a lot 4g+, social, messaging apps).
Is it worth the switch? Thank you for your responses. Cheers!
