al, 20 Dec 2019mi9t or realme x2.Mi 9t would be the best option.
Xiaomi phones also have tons of device modifications that can enhance your device.
And plenty of custom roms if you're interested.

If you have a china rom verison.
Just look up in google on how to convert to global rom.

Mi9t is the best midrange phone of 2019. There is no phone it can beat except for realme devices which are not available in my country. 128gb is mostly enough for anyone.

Other than that Mi9t is best in every other aspect including Camera,battery,display,build quality. Even for medium level gaming this is a very good phone. I play pubg with high+Hd graphics and it plays smoothly without any heat issues. I'm enjoying every minute of using this phone. Go for it.

the battery on this phone is incredible, especially coming from a person who was forced to charge my device twice a day for it to survive, this is basically a two day battery. of course using may vary but i had it at 23% at 2PM and i used YT and twitter, listening to some music (i hardly game) and it was at 9% at 5. amazing

The phone has serious problem with VPN. You can't use a VPN properly on this device. And worst, Xiaomi has the most poor customer service. They don't care about your problem. For instance, here is a link to mi community :

Mi 9T:
Better for games, as it heats up less
Better AMOLED display - allows AOD
Battery holds longer on videos
Nicer to hold in hands
Difficulties with the protectvie case - an ugly dark plastic case comes with the phone
Note 8 pro:
I like more the photos
Battery holds longer on web browsing
Has IR
Has card slot if you dont’t need a second SIM card (I desperately need it though)
They say, the display is great for IPS (I prefer AMOLED)

I found out what is happening already, when enough light the phone will use telephoto camera but when light is low, it will use main camera to zoom in.
