You can't turn off the capacitive back light unless you root it, BTW why would you wanna turn of the capacitive back light? the light will only on for couples second when you touch it & will remain off if you don't touch it.

A1 is overal a just a good phone and is highly overrated i think specially in India when came out they thought is the best 2017 device..so the half population bought it.becoz of the price A1 has some small defects as well and here are some: my old s5 boots more fast 8 seconds thats unacceptable ! no sound delivery sms report ! slippery and kind fragile device ,mediocre battery,no video chat and multitasking in background, i think it works again in fb but after a recent fix,extremely high SAR 1,75 k/w!! .tiny led notification and only white color!!i gave it back in 1 week,,oh and i forgot it didnt open an attached file i think pdf (no matter how many times i tried) from an email so i had to use again my old s5 to open it successfully
