Since January I am trying to find a device which has dual camera, Snapdragon CPU and Adreno GPU, 4 GB RAM/64 GB RAM, 5.5 inch screen, at least 3000 MiH battery. I found few models on market matching this criteria but I was hesitated because most of them are full of very heavy custom UI skin. Being a Galaxy user for last 4 years ; it is not easy for me to buy a device which has tons of features on UI. Anyway I tried a Google Pixel and S7 which is basic UI. But they are too above my budget. But yesterday I saw the Mi A1 and I said to myself "This is it". It for every thing and the price is also damn good e.g. 15k. Few years back when Andorid A1 released I was very excited about those devices, unfortunately those devices have quality issues and people were not ready for stock android back than. As they thought it looks too simple. But now a days we know the value of regular update and upgrades. So, I am sure this time Mi and Google combination will do magic.

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2017does stock android utilize battery better than MIUI? like d... moreYes. I am sure. Because stock android is very simpler, lighter and less resource hungry. Unlike other skins, I has no themes and funky features. Last but not least it has minium or lesa bloatware which also takes RAM in background and consums battery. So a 3000 MiH battery will last longer than with Stock android than any other skins. Regards.

I'm quite happy to see Mi device with android stock OS. It looks better than MIUI, just IMO.

utakandila, 06 Sep 2017Nokia 6 better for the quality, why? Xiaomi use "marketing... moreThats because of miui. The developers are very lazyforfixing bugs in miui

Nokia 6 better for the quality, why?
Xiaomi use "marketing trick", they make many hardware different in same phone type, example: you and your friend buy xiaomi 4x, but you may get tianma screen or boe screen or etc, and may get different wifi, gps and etc hardware too. So, in spesification that same, but you may get the problem issue like flickr screen, touch over sensitif, signal issue and more.

I buy more than 8 xiaomi phone for some type, and just get 1 phone in "perfect condition"

As close to the Android One concept as you can get but, unfortunately, Xiaomi is unlikely to enable the LTE Bands necessary for fully supporting what an Android One should be configured for connectivity.

For Asia it has to include the 700mhz APT Band. Carriers are building out this spectrum and OEMs must make this a part of the modem frequencies.

Of course North America won't/can't be included which is disappointing. We'll keep hoping for that day.

For those able to connect this should be a great device to own and play.

It will easily last 3year and more with custom roms.

But I am going with Xiaomi MIX copycat phone made by Leagoo that has 5.5 inch FHD screen and body is as small as typical 5 inch phones. As I don't play games on phone or even when I do my games will run on it well enough. Other things like taking pictures and browsing will be good enough to for only 100 euro phone. Good perks about 100 euro phone is that when you drop it and it breaks you can just buy new one and don't care or feel so bad about it. Especially when you get bored of your phone after 2 years and buy new one anyways. I don't even use covers on my phones just cause they make my already big phone even bigger and more heavy.

A dream phone for some people, cheaper high spec from Xiaomi, supported by Google.. This phone will be enough for 3-5 years, it's guaranteed to receive Android P updates, also Android One phones have good place in community, they will receive more support for custom ROM.. It's like a mid-end version for Pixel phones, which is very good for people who don't want spend too much money for a phone but still want Pixel-like experience..

Dear users Android One phones are cheap phones powered by google itself. and this is like cheaper version of Pixel and Nexus. Also they confirm even android P update for this phone and oreo will come asap (in 2017) just bexind google flagships, they use cheap companies to produce Android One project ... it's like midrange series of Pixels and Nexus also there will be stock android not miui so xiaomi dont provide updates ... all comes from google directly and i think at that price point this will be one of the best buys but lets wait some professional reviews
