Anonymous, 21 Nov 2018No, the OTG doesn't work.Samsung Bokeh effect is much better than MiA1.
There call it life focus.
Due to the bad quality low light photo, MiA1 give very bad Bokeh effect indoor.
If you able to stretch your budget, get a A7 2018 with triple lense which can even put Mi8 to shame.

With latest update (1 november) you did something to drain battery extremely fast! Please remove that what you did!

Updated to recent November update, idk if its the update fault or what but my phone screen delays for ~4sec when press sleep button or finger print. Any help?

mi a1 user, 18 Nov 2018Sad to see the new device already get Android Pie while sti... moreXiaomi insist to use their own camera apps & a few other apps like Mi Remote & Feedback, which could be the reason why there need to do extra steps to update their Android One phone, there should have remove these apps & replace it with Stock Android Camera apps which is far more superior than Xiaomi camera apps, keep Xiaomi camera apps solely for MiUi phone.

Sad to see the new device already get Android Pie while still no sign of this device that is one year old getting an update. I don't know why Xiaomi so late at providing update. That is why I bought Android One phone over MIUI. Now even, android one phones are getting late update when Nokia has already provided updates for their phones.
I think Xiaomi should really consider releasing few phones and get them up to date rather than making phones with different models and almost similar specs. I mean like how many model of Note 4 or 5 already exists? They have like single number, single number with pro and plus, single number with AI, single number with X, against there is S series, single number with A. I think it is because of so many models that they are so late with these updates.

Rajinders, 17 Nov 2018...but why they have initially said about two years of soft... morei believe MiA1 will eventually gets the update but it will be slower than MiA2 & probably MiA2 lite as well, i used to own a Mi3 as well, the update get slower after Mi4, Mi5 launch, sometimes is few months after there update the newer model.
But hopefully our patiently waiting is fruitful with a bugs free update, previous rush update for Oreo 8.0 was a disaster & it took few months to rectify most of the bugs.

Did i not said Xiaomi will abandon MiA1 for MiA2 ? Now MiA2 gets it Android Pie update & MiA1 hasn't eveb gets it Beta test.

i got info about software update and had to restart my phone. then when it rebooted my screen was going on and off (flicking) then it rebooted and i got message that my data may be corrupt and i had to format my mi a1. somebody else had this? virus?
please advise.
