      I gotta make Ace upgrade to Android 10, so I'm checking 2 times every day so i can be ready for when the update comes to force him to update his device.

              You should all bash (hate) on Xiaomi now and force them to release the Android 10 Update.
              This device came with Android 8, received the Android 9 update, but this is an Android One Device which promises 2 years of updates. Shame on Xiaomi and Google for lying on it's customers.
              Do not buy a Xiaomi or Google product anymore.

                        Maybe Android 10 will allow this action.

                          January 2020 security patch got it. But NO android 10 !

                                  Does anyone know how to get rid of the POS Google search bar on the home screen? I've tried:
                                  - tapping and holding the widget (doesn't do anything)
                                  - opening the settings to cutomise the widget (no options to get rid of it)
                                  - disabling Google in Settings - Apps (still shows on home screen)
                                  - long press on empty space in home screen to remove widget (no option to remove widget)

                                  Running Android Pie (Android One) with latest December 2019 security update. The Google search bar is showing right at the bottom om the home screen underneath the Phone, Contacts, Messages, etc., icons.

                                      it did not get android 10 update in December patch. otherwise excellent phone. no complaints for this price. battery is just awesome. still gets 9+ hours of SOT after 14 months of use
