Its not Xiaomi who make Android One famous but the nature of Android One (stock Android) its self that make it famous around the world. Yes its not Nokia who bring fame to Android One but its also not Xiaomi. Android One become famous because some people in this world are tired and fatique with Skin Android like MIUI, EMUI, Color OS, Funtouch, TouchWiz etc. Before Android One program there were very few phone come with stock Android. Xiaomi fanboys better check your facts and dont easily be outrages and outburst when another people condem Xiaomi low quality phone.

Those Nokia One phones come with a premium price tag. Other brands like Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and even Samsung don't have any Android One phones yet.

Maybe you god faulty phone, just saying.. Also, if you can't replace phone, for another one, try factory reset, because sometimes MIUI have little bugs from version to version (after update).

What a waste of money. Have been using this phone since 2 weeks now. Phone goes unresponsive nearly daily. Typing is a nightmare, really. While pressing spacebar many a times the application will close or it will not take the tap of finger. I dont know if its due to screen hardware or software issue. I tried 3 different keyboards all having same issue. Gestures are hardly of any use. Many times going back gesture doesnt work and you are stuck with what to do. This phone can never be used as the main phone. You simply cannot rely on it. If you want a cheap phone which looks like iphoneX then go ahead and buy buy if you want a serious phone then please dont.

And about stock Android, also you can. Enable developer settings (couple of taps on build number etc), and in developer settings you can disable automatic update (system and apps). About search bar on home screen, yes it's sucks, but Poco launcher and you're free to go. I agree, MIUI have 1000 more options in UI, but still it's fast enough (Android One on this phone is fast also).

Had the phone for a week, after an upgrade from Redmi 3 Pro. The A2 Lite overall is great, but I liked MIUI way more than Android One.
In Android One the Google widget is stuck, cannot remove it. The homescreen cannot be changed. There are very limited settings in general. You cannot disable internet access on app by app basis (I have only 100MB monthly) so this pretty much sucks for the moment.
I started using the Nova Launcher which helps with the screen design, but then again uses more battery. But any app I open still connects to the internet even on cellular and there is no way stopping it AT ALL.
I wish the A2 Lite came with MIUI. I will never again get clean Android. It's 10 years old and it has barely any settings. C'mon Google, step up your shitty game.

Im not using tempered glass or any screen protection because it will ruin the beautiful screen or display. The glass is also oleophobic. Its difficult to find oleophobic screen protection. Dont mistake the gorilla glass for lcd.
