For your buck, this has to be the best phone out there right now. 128Gb and 4Gig Ram is an awesome combo for 399USD don't you think? Not only that, it's 64bit with an excellent screen and gpu. Oh, did we forget the battery? I synced my Note 4 to clone it to the Mi Max and the Note 4(I have 8200maH battery) ran out of juice eventhough the mi max was the hotspot. Before I could sync 4 hours of data, I had to recharge the Note 4 at 5percent, Mi Max was at 60percent. I guess the 64bit architecture does help with the heating and stress, but, I have a beast Exynos N910c Note 4. Says loads doesn't it? My first non Samsung phone since the Omnia 1 and 2 way back and it's totally worth it. I've always had 2 phones every year, Note 5 pissed me off, so, last year was the first time I didn't buy or sell a phone. Wanted something worthwhile to replace my Mega 6.3 and this thing is beast. Order it from nis-store.com and make sure you tell them to ship with global rom. Tons of options, I remember MiUi roms from the Galaxy S2 etc... It's a really cool phone to have. I feel like buying another really cos I don't seem to see another reasonably priced phone with atleast 5.7inches that has 4Gb Ram etc.

Mi Max HK version with International Rom 7.5.3
-3.5mm output volume is very low, I'm barely able to drive headphones that were working perfectly with other phones (including Mi Note 3 / half as loud as this one).
-Microphone sound quality is horrendous, people has difficulty in hearing and understanding (muffled sound, low volume) Mic seems to work fine on the recorder app

hemant, 28 Jul 2016not able to move apps to sd card..... phone volume also very lowWhen I installed a freshly formatted (exFAT) 64GB Sandisk Ultra MicroSD card the phone told me it wasn't recognised and formatted it again. After formatting, which seems to have made it part of the internal storage, it's created installation folders on it just as if it was internal storage.
I have a total of 121GB (64+64=128 minus minus) storage, where 100GB is free/available. So i've this far used roughly 21GB. And I have over 2600 songs (SD card of course) on it and a whole county available offline in google maps for Pokémon Go.
That said, the phone isn't low on storage even if someone gets the 32GB version, there still space for space consuming videos, photos, music etc. on SD card. Filling even nearly 30GB with games/apps isnt' exactly usual.
Not sure whoever said the phones volume is low, check your settings. This phone is loud, both speaker and mic.

u can choose MI audio mode for calling.

it even doe... moreU can format the memory card as fat32.
Just connect it to system using card reader. Go to cmd.
Type help format
U can get all the info how to format it.

I bought MI Max phone 10 days back and 3 times I have taken this to service center. One of the WORST phone I have ever seen/used. The volume is too low while connecting the headphone. after update the OS the same issue....

Ive had the Mi Max for over 2 weeks now and its amazing! Its super fast and day to day use is like a breeze, no lag at all, Miui is vert cool too in my opinion alot of customization options and very stable. The camera is a good but nothing special though.
Battery is amazing and easily lasts 2 days.
Fingerprint scanner is accurate and superfast. Build quality is very good so far. And the display is pretty good.
Overall for 250$ its one of the best phones you can get if you dont mind the size though, if you're confused, dont be and get it!

i was told by xiomi servise support,, that i should get it formatted to fat-32
how to frmat san disk 64 gb 48 mbps card available in the market
