I have been using the phone for nearly three years now and until today was a great fan of it. Unfortunately Xiaomi decided to kill it with a miui 12.5 software update that I installed this morning. Now most of Google's apps doesn't work anymore. I have not found a solution, but I have found some other people with the same issues. In XDA forums there are some ways with flashing the phone and installing custom ROMs etc., that's not for me.
That's a shame. Probably won't buy a Xiaomi any more. Maybe will go on Galaxy Fold or something else not Chinese.

I will be honest, I love this phone! I have been using this phone for 2 years and 1 month. Yet, the phone is still in its warranty. I thought this phone will be limit to its warranty however I was wrong. It's unlimited! Of course, when playing games with it, it's sometimes laggy. But when I refresh my RAM, it goes smooth again. I wish I had an 8GB RAM because mine is 4GB but it's okay. Thank you Xiaomi, keep it up!

been using this since it came out and it still holds up great in summer 21 but I want something new so I'm gonna sell it and buy another

massive fan of this phone. have been a mobile user since...lets say the Nokia 9810 or so... this is great phone. had it for 4 years. one fifth of the price of apple and better quality! no brainer!!! v. happy.

I am still using the 1st series,Mi Max China version.So far only the volume rocker and power button sank down into the slot.I have got it changed recently and it's working fine now.Reliable smartphone.

Having mi max3 for almost 2 years. Battery life still very good... Screen resolution is satisfactory… I'm really happy with it… thank you xiaomi… go ahead ..

Still have in hand and smooth running. I dont know the other phone that might get my taste other than MI Max 3.

Have gone back to this after smashing my ROG 2 and am really enjoying it all over again.
I thought it would be jarring going back to slow processor and 60hz refresh rate but it really isn't that big of a deal. What I'm missing is the speakers on the ROG but that's not to say these are bad, just the ROG 2 was another level.
I'm happy to use this phone again for now - am in no rush to replace. Which is a good job because am a bit skint and don't know what I want now anyway. Nothing is really ticking all the boxes for me

I'm surprised to see every day new "now available" models from many brands are added daily on gsmarena page, but they are very similar to each other. Ok, some are with higher specs, some lower, so is the prize. And yes, the average screen size has grown quite a bit, but it's still a mystery to me, why not continue with the Mi Max models, with average specs and large screen to have be a little different from masses.

Xiaomi Mi Max.3 (BLACK) 64gb Global version. 2 years and 6 months, after MIUI 12.0.1 Android 10 August 2020 Security patch updated, it feels like i am having the latest Android smartphone in my palm, my hand. Very smooth, fast, fluid feels of browsing, stable ROM and the camera, there was a lot of improvement too. No technical defect at all, no software issues neither physiical or none of any hardware issues at all. I seems that i am having a Brand new 2020 android smartphone as it is on Android 10 and MIUI 12!
Never regret of always buying XIAOMi product. From Mi Hongmi 1 to Mi Hongmi Note 1 to Xiaomi Note 3 to Xiaomi Note 4, Redmi Note 5 Pro (AI dual camera ver.), Note 7, Redmi 5plus, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8.Pro, Xiaomi Mi 8 lite, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9s all was a flagship killer! 👌👍💯✌️

My Max3 has a problem recently. When I connect Max3 to PC using a usb cable, my PC can't detect my phone. Debug mode is ON. I tried it with different PCs, cables, and also factory reset the phone but it didn't work. Do you have same issue?
